The V8 is not as powerful as the Ball, but it is almost on par with the hyper full power switch. It is also light weight and easy to move around, it have been our go to vacuum for small job clean up.

Posted .Hello Chelsea, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to learn you've felt the suction in your V8 isn't as powerful as you like. Your machine offers two modes of suction power - regular for everyday cleaning, and MAX, for an added boost for those more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Quick and easy to pick off the wall, quick clean up and return. While this has many purposes for cleaning it's definitely a quick job unit. The battery lasts as expected... short. But that's what it's for not for cleaning the whole house. Great buy!

I’ve always wanted to buy a stain vacuum so I finally purchased one and OMG I love it. It works so freaking good, I use it everyday but I just love it. If you’re skeptical, don’t be. Best thing I’ve purchased !!!!! I’m not someone who buys expensive things but this is so worth it

It does the job well, however the dust chamber is small so it fills up quickly and on top of that it is also akward to disasemble. If you want a dyson it is probably better to spend the extra $100 for a slightly larger and easier to clean dust chamber

Decent cordless vacuum

I do not own many rugs and only have one room with carpet in it so having a cordless vacuum that doesn't take a lot of space is quite nice. I wish the canister was a tad larger, but overall quite happy.

I clean sofas, stairs, tables, and all kind of floors; it also picks up all the hair from my pets. I can use for 30 minutes constantly before I have to charge it again. And I just empty the container and it looks clean again.

Need to recharge to complete the entire house. 7 months an after purchase, the shaft of the vacuum stick snapped and broke. Not impressed with the quality of this vacuum .

I loved my new V-8 and really recommend it. So much more silence and more time working. Also different accessories. Just one thing that Dyson could improve: allow the accessories work in all cord less generations.

Has been really great for cleaning the car and for cleaning the stairs. The stand/accessory holder is great, but I wish it held more of the accessories. Great battery life and suction so far as well :)

Consider I have a smaller place, the battery life is not a big issue for me. However, I think for people who have a larger place, V10 might be a better choice due to the battery life.

Worst Purchase

If I could give no stars I would. This vacuum dies after vacuuming one room no matter how long you keep it charged. I’ve tried numerous times. Someone from Geek Squad was scheduled to come in to try to fix but never ended up coming. I tried to return over the phone but the Best Buy customer service via phone is terrible.

Out-the-box, the V8 is commonly set to max mode which features a total 7 minutes of run time. The extended run suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks, while the max mode is designed for particularly stubborn messes.

Effortless Rechargeable Vacuum System

This new vacuum system for us is effortless to use, we really are glad that we bought it.

Oh how amazing this product is. It’s so easy to use and it picks up everything!!!! I use this before I use the tineco mop and they are the perfect match made in cleaning heaven.
