I purchased this for use at a small business for quick crumb cleanups from customers. It works great for that. We don't use it for more than a few minutes at a time so I can't speak to the battery life. We purchased this on sale, although I can't remember the exact price.

I bought this my wife and she saw it and said this is small and won’t work. Well now she loves it. It’s light weight, no cords and works very good. She has been trying to get her coworker to get one. Told her it’s light weight and works awesome.

Great vacuum overall, but it does have a very short run time (especially if you use it on the higher setting, which I often need to use on my carpeted area). It works best on my wood and tile floors though! It does charge fairly quickly,

This vacuum is perfect for my small home and is good on multiple surfaces. The variety of attachments included are useful, the charge lasts and doesn't take long to recharge. Picked this up on sale so along with the warranty from Dyson, the value is excellent.

Great vacuum cleaner. We have previously had cheap uprights and used a family members shark. While the shark was nice, the light weight of the dyson is definitely appreciated. I can vacuum the whole house (apx 1600sq ft) on a charge without any issues.

The suction power, ease of handling and emptying is great. But even with specific attachments, the unit head tends to roll over things like upholstery, bedspeads, pillows. I think this is probably due to its light-weighted-ness. It works well on hard surfaces, such as linoleum, carpets, hardwoods...things with a firm surface.

All I heard was how awesome this vacuum was ~ very disappointing that after a full charge , the vacuuming time was only 10 minutes or less. Several attempts made, still same outcome. Needless to say it was returned to the store for a refund

We have owned another model for awhile. We have used it at our hair salon for years. My wife wanted one for our house for Christmas. Dyson products have never disappointed. This V8 works just as wonderful as expected.

We just added this to our vacuum collection, we have had the Dyson Dc07 for years now and after replacing a few things decided to venture into a newer model. This thing sucks! And I mean that I. The best possible way. Vacummed with the old one first and then this one. Still filled half the container.

Quality build with decent run time. The suction is good for the size and will do for smaller homes. More of a complimentary item for a large home when you need to vac hard to reach spots above or outstretched. Great tools and everything fits well.

It works very well on wood floor, couch and stairs. It's very light and quiet. The dust bin is easy to clean. Vacuuming gets easier. However, because it's too light, it needs extra efforts to push and pull on the rug. The battery doesn't last long. One charge couldn't get my full house done. Mine is 3 bedrooms.

I am so happy with my Dyson. It works great on stairs no more worrying about tripping over the cord. Does a great job on hardwood floor and carpeting. It is very easy to clean filters as well. Dyson did not disappoint!

I love this dyson! Works great for a quick and easy clean up on my floors when I don’t want to take out my big vacuum. It’s light weight and easy to use. Best thing I have purchased! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! Love it!

The vacuum started out great bit within probably 15 months the battery went bad and we had to return it. the new equivalent vacuum was to expensive so we are trying a new model this time.

So light weight and easy to use bring cordless. I actually vacuum way more often with it.

I am using a lot for inside kitchen and living room as well as inside my car. Problem 1: Handle is not ergonomic after holding for a while your thumb joint hurting. Hard ABS plastic touching surface to the thumb needs to be smooth and similar shape with our thumb finger direction. Need mechanical improvement. Problem 2: Battery dyes pretty quick when vacuuming sometimes not enough. Problem 3: When you do small vacuuming battery stays half you don't completely use the battery. If I put it into charger back most probably Battery Degradation will be pretty quick and battery lifetime will decrease. There should be power switch to control the power adapter when it is always plug it in to the wall plug. Problem 4: You can't put all the accessories to wall charger there are only two slots but vacuum comes with 4 accessories that you need to use during vacuuming. Sometimes I cannot find other necessary parts during vacuuming. In order to solve this you need to buy Vacuum Cleaner Storage Rack . Over all it is OK. I suggest. I can easily do these improvements by myself.

Light, easy to maneuver, easy to empty canister and change attachments. Disappointment is battery only lasts about 20 minutes when it’s run on the higher charge. Still happy we got it, though, as it was for my 86 year old mom and she can handle it on her own!

Nice for small areas, convenient storage and ability to move around.

I really LOVE my Dyson V-8 Animal! It's amazing how much power it has for a cordless! And it's much more quiet than my V-6 and has a wider floor roller. The battery lasts a lot longer too. It looks great in its charging station conveniently attached to the wall. I'm really addicted to using it!!
