Owned one before it failed via age, then bought a competitor to replace it. The replacement vacuum was no comparison to my previous Dyson. Thus I purchased my second Dyson.

This was our first Dyson Animal vacuum and it is by far superior to other vacuums. I do not like the short battery life on this model. Also, Geek squad protection is a sound investment on high use electronics and small appliance which I depend on everyday...

Love the vacuum. Wish the battery would last longer. But I really love the power.

I swapped out my previous model for the newer one. After about 6 months, the battery seemed to start failing with the older model to the point that it would barely keep a charge for more than a minute. I haven't had any issues with the new model yet and I'm about a month in, so only time will tell if it starts doing the same. 4 stars only because of the uncertainty. I love this vac, though.

We needed something quick and easy to do general sweeping along with something light to sweep steps. This unit does a great job in both areas and picks up more than expected. With a Siberian Husky as it's measuring stick it stacks up and removes the hair from the carpet and furniture.

I had the Dyson DC59 for 8 years and loved it. Bought this newer model and passed the other to my daughter. Such a difference in battery time to suction power. Can’t go wrong with this model

If I had not purchased this unit I would not have believed it. It used to take 2 hours to clean the house with the old corded vacuum, now we can get it done on one charge, One pass on carpet, hardwood and vinyl plank flooring, Could not be happier.

I like the vacuum. It is easy to use and handy for small spaces. The only thing that I am not particularly fond of is the need for space for the accessories and a space to hang the unit on the wall. I disconnect the floor unit and have the unit sister-in-law on the floor by an outlet to stay charged.

We got this for our carpeted stairs because we have two cats. And our previous vacuum just wasn’t cutting it. Finally we bought this and when we brought it home the stairs were clean in 10 minutes looking brand new. LOVE THIS THING

Dyson V8 handheld vacuum where have you been all my life? Gets the job done thoroughly in record time. I use my V8 for a tight and small space, so on high suction setting, nothing escapes. Bye bye to dog hair and Nevada dust in my living space. Easy to clean my vehicle, too.

Absolutely love my Dyson. It’s so convenient and cord free. I would suggest if you have a bigger home to get a newer Dyson as the battery in this one doesn’t last as long as the Dyson V11

The best investment done in many years. If you have lab or any pets that sheds, this is a must. Put it in the cart and buy. You will never regret it. The ease of use to cleaning is just way too easy. No hassles of wires. Must buy for any pet owners.

This is my first time with dyson not disappointed , Immaculate house now and awesome , less weight easy to use . Highly recommend this in detail thorough cleanings on the edges . Multi use for car vacum as well

I love the vacuum! The only thing to keep in mind is this product is designed and marketed for carpets and upholstery. It does not come with the hardwood floors attachment so that is an extra purchase, but I love this thing

Good vacuum but where you put your hand to power it is a little tight

We are very happy with the ease of use and power in this cordless vacuum. This is our second Dyson vacuum, the other is a corded vacuum. We have hardwood floors and this V8 Animal takes care of the clean up on these floors quickly and efficiently.

Buy it now! This is the best vacuum ever! I got it on Black Friday and I’ve loved it ever since! Amazing! Picks up everything! If you have tile or hard floors get the option with the soft roller head as I didn’t and had to purchase it later.

Wow so impressed. I did not want to spend this much money on a vacuum cleaner, but I would spend it 15 times over if I knew then what I knew now. Although the battery life isn’t super long, it seems to be plenty! I have two cats and a dog and use it every single day

Bought this vacuum for my mom to replace her old heavy dinosaur vacuum. She loves it and says it has made cleaning around the house so much easier and faster. Plus it holds the charge for a long time and has good suction.

This is our second Dyson and we absolutely love it. We almost upgraded to the V10 instead, but we just couldn't justify the cost. The V8 can handle just about everything we need. Batter life is solid and performance is exactly what you'd expect from Dyson.
