    Works fine for dust or small particles on hard floors. It just pushed the dog food on the floor around though. Didn't work AT ALL on carpet. It gets stuck and won't turn. The best use is the small attachment for dusting but I don't need a $400 duster.

      Hi Casey, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use, you found that the V8 Animal didn't work well on your carpeting. One thing I can confirm is that Dyson cleaner heads do feature a sensor inside of the brush motor which is designed to stop the brush from spinning if too much tension is felt on the motor. This can occur if the brush bar senses the carpeting as an obstruction, which can be due to thicker or more plush carpets. Your machine does have two suction modes; we'd recommend switching modes to see if that helps to resolve the issue. While we don't ever expect issues to occur, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 2-year guarantee.
