    Had to return for the V11, as the run time on the V8 is very short with floor attachment. Be sure to read the details prior to purchase to ensure you can complete your floors before the battery dies. Battery does charge fairly quick (at least the V11 does).

      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear you found the run time in your V8 to be too short. I can confirm in MAX power mode, the machine provides about 7 minutes of run time, and in regular power mode, run time will be 30-40 minutes, depending on if you're using a motorized attachment.     This vacuum is so convenient, easy to use, and it does a great job. I vacuum my tile floors on the regular power setting and use Max Power on the rugs or when I use the other attachments for the furniture or stairs. I can vacuum 1,500 sq. ft. plus the stairs and some of the furniture in one charge. The only thing I think could be improved is the design of the handle. If I'm using the shorter attachments for the stairs, furniture, blinds, etc., it doesn't take long before my thumb is hurting and red where it rubs the top of the handle.
