    This isn't a cheap vacuum but it is so worth it. We never had a vacuum clean that well. Accessories are just perfect and cover any situation. We thought that battery life would be a problem but it is not, we rarely need to use it in maximum mode and charge it once a week.

    This thing is the greatest invention since sliced bread. We very seldom read as not at all since we got this. Clean up pet hair crumbs, dust anything rise. My daughter has one and we used it this is a product I would buy again . No one should be without one

    It doesn’t pick vacuum up all the debris. I’ll have to vacuum over the same thing a few times for it to pick it. I only use it for the small clean up when I don’t want to get out the big vacuum so I was a little disappointed. Love that it’s light weight and turns very easily.

      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use, you've found the suction from the Dyson V8 Animal to be lacking. Dyson V8 vacuums have a run time of up to 40 minutes, when used in standard power mode. On MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. If you find something is left behind when making a pass with your floor tool, you can switch the suction slider to MAX, for that boost of suction.

    The battery dies very quickly. Instead of 5 hours running, it dies within a few minutes even on normal operation.

    Battery is a joke! I can only vacuum my stairs before it dies. Battery life is 15 minutes 20 minutes max. Save your money don’t buy this.

The Dyson V8 features up to 40 minutes of run time, depending on the mode or combination of modes/tools used. The V8 features two modes: extended run high suction mode and max mode. Out-the-box, the machine may be set to max mode. Max mode is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes and provides 7 minutes total of run time. Extended run high suction mode is designed to handle the majority of cleaning tasks and provides up to 40 minutes of run time, depending on your combination of tools used.
