You will have two suction modes, regular and MAX, for tackling any size mess in your home. While MAX is great for larger debris or more stubborn messes, we don't recommend that mode for everyday cleaning, as it definitely can place more strain on the battery, resulting in less battery life. Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V8 Animal cordless is a hassle-free vacuum with powerful suction. The powerful direct-drive cleaner head removes ground-in dirt and pet hair from carpets, and self-adjusts to pick up dirt and debris from your bare floors.
Dyson V8 Animal also features two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. Also, while many do use Dyson cordless machines as their main vacuum at home, if you prefer a longer run time, we’d recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models.

Sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t work at all. Best Buy isn’t helping so I have try to resolve it with dyson directly.
