Dysen product is not in good quality

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V7 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

I vacuumed my living room rug with my central vacuum cleaner, then went over it with the V8 Animal. This little battery powered vacuum pulled up two canisters of dust left behind! The vacuum is lightweight and very easy to maneuver around the house. The battery lasts exactly as advertised: 40 mins on regular power and 20 minutes on high. The canister is very easy to empty out. I find myself vacuuming more often and each time I use it, I continue to be amazed how powerful this awesome vacuum is!

The bin on the V8 holds 0.14 gallons, while the bin on our Cyclone V10 models holds 0.20 gallons, so it definitely does hold a bit more debris. Motörhead failed. Service loop from hell.

The brush stopped spinning and it just made a grinding noise. When we contacted Dyson, we just got stuck in an endless loop. We provided our serial number and a description of the problem. They responded by asking for the serial number and description of the problem. (?!) Which we sent to them in the email. They said they can't open the attachment. There was no attachment, just the text of the email. They responded by asking for... you guessed it - the Serial Number and Description of the Problem. We gave up and got a Eureka for 1/4 of the price.

Nice portable stick vac

It's nice not to have to lug around a big vacuum to clean steps, vents and cobwebs in my house. It comes with several handy attachments and is pretty easy to setup and use. I opened the package and was happy to see that it was partially charged, so I could play with it right out of the package. I used it initially to clean my carpeted steps and found that the max suction switch was much better to use for vacuuming the carpet. The normal suction just didn't clean as well. With the switch on max suction, you do lose some battery time, but I was able to clean about two dozen steps, the landing and switched it back to normal to clean the cobwebs in some corners. I also used it to vacuum up some crumbs my kids dropped on the tile floor and while it worked, the broom was still the better option. I'm not sure if it was intended to be used on tile, but I figured I would try it nonetheless. This is my first time using a stick vac, so maybe my opinion will change after more use. I plan to use it to vacuum out our vehicles instead of using my wall mounted shop vac in the garage and I'm sure I will appreciate the portability of this vacuum. For the price, I'm not sure it would be worth it for a maximum of approximately 40 minutes of use, but I do like my gadgets. I wouldn't pay $600 for what I get out of it though. All in all, its not a bad vacuum, but I would probably stick with my broom and dustpan for this price.

Great vacuum, wish it lasted us longer!

The battery needs to be replaced (20 second battery life, lol), but also, the handle part completely broke. The plastic part cracked, and I can't jimmy it back together to make it last longer. I'm kind of surprised that this happened, considering we used the wall mount to store it and took good care of it overall. All things considered, I still give this vacuum 4 out of 5 stars. -I love the ease of using this. It maneuvers well and rolls under our couch just fine. -It has really great suction, and does better than any other handheld vacuum we've had. The carpet suction is top notch, but sucks the battery down a lot faster. -It is easy to clean and lets you know when the filter needs to be washed. All the parts easily open and the bucket is easy to empty. I am considering purchasing another, but also have my eye on a couple other models from other brands. I love this vacuum, but really wish it lasted longer for the price paid.

Dyson V8 vacuums have a run time of up to 40 minutes, when used in standard power mode. In MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. You may be interested to know that the new Dyson Cyclone V10 models have an advertised run time of up to 60 minutes, which is our longest run time to date.

Best Vacuum Ever!

It does everything you could possibly want from a vacuum and its cordless which makes using it so much easier. It never loses suction and it has so many useful attachments. The whole unit is very light and maneuverable which makes taking it up and down stairs a breeze. This vacuum is sure to save you time while cleaning which could be better spent elsewhere.

The V8 is really good: incredible suction, lightweight, relatively quiet, and reasonable battery life. The attachments are functional and proved useful in removing dust from couch cushions, miniblinds, and furniture/artworks hanging on walls and high places. My only con is having to hold the trigger while using it. I'd have preferred a single action switch. Great vacuum, highly recommend.

This one is still working but it just feels like a flimsy, cheap product. Once this one dies, it'll be the last dyson I purchase.
