The suction is not good at all. I regret buying this and for the cost.

The Dyson V8 has great cleaning power for every day use and when needed, a turbo mode. It's easy to clean and to empty the dust collector.

Easily broke on the bottom. Only after 2 use, and since I opened up after the return period, was not able to get any credit. Would not recommend getting this item at Best buy

This vacuum shows how much dust collects on my floor on a daily basis. It is powerful and not very noisey. I also like how light weight it is. Now the cons. It is a bit pricey for just a vacuum cleaner. I became addicted to Dyson after my first purchase. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. I wish it had a light. No regrets. It’s awesome.

Best vacuume ever owned has a shark that I loved and this is better. Light weight. Easy to use. Gets into all spaces.

This is like an annuity for dyson. Mine broke after 12 months and dyson doesn’t care to fix my appliance. Never buying dyson again. Won’t allow my family to buy dyson.

This Dyson is a nice, small, compact vacuum that does the job. The suction is more powerful than the first iteration of the Animal and does a great job. This vacuum comes with plenty of attachments that are very easy to take off and put on. This vacuum is more for a quick clean up and the battery only lasts about 40 minutes. Even after using this on a rug that we had just vacuumed, it picked up more hair and dirt than our normal vacuum, so the suction is very powerful.

Less than six months usage and the padding on the beater bar it worn out leaving lovely scratches on the wood flooring.

I bought this vacuum for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. And shes loving it she pretty much use it everyday. Would remember getting this 100%. Great quality and super easy you ise.

The only negative thing I have to comment is I wish the battery lasted longer. Everything else about this vacuum has been stellar! We love all of the attachments for life with toddler and cat! I also love the ease of it hanging on the wall for a quick grab. We plan to purchase another as a gift.

I am so glad to have received the Dyson V8 Animal from Best Buy. There simply isn't any great competitors out there for the type of portability and suction. This unit is small, powerful, and with a wide variety of attachments for floor cleaning and I especially use it to clean my car and garage. At the end of the day, this baby saved me a lot of time and hassle. Being cordless with the amount of power is simply amazing.

This thing is sweet and I haven't used my old corded vacuum since I got it. I also have a cordless Bissell but it was weak and worse than using a broom. I use the Dyson on the max mode so the battery doesn't last super long, but I also don't vacuum for more than 20 minutes straight. I think this is great for non carpeted floors but it can also do some carpet fine. I watched a video of someone just abusing it and was impressed. I never had a Dyson before and this thing is easy to empty and easy to maneuver. I love having no cord and would buy this thing again.

Great vacuum cleaner. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and I have gone through several vacuums that I have purchased on line, and this one has been the best by far. I paid extra for this vacuum and it has out performed the previous vacuums that I have purchased the past 2 years

Bought this Dyson. After I opened the box and charged it I was ready to use it. Except it didn't do anything. The motor was dead. Had to return it.

As a current Dyson owner, this is a very good product. Easy to set up and works like a charm. Suction power is very good compared to the last model. Useage time could bear to be better but overall it works great. If you have the last model the attachments are not interchangeable. 2 year full warranty is also very helpful.

Dyson V8 is definitely the absolute vacuum for pet owners. Battery life is doubled from the previous V6, going from merely 20 minutes to 40 minutes. However, with power comes greater weight as well. The V6 came in just under 5 lbs, and V8 is at 5.6 lbs. It's still light enough to use to clean cobweb on the ceiling or cheerios in our minivan. We're very happy with the strong suction. The only con is the price, but you're getting a performance machine. So it's a good trade off.

This is the second cordless Dyson vacuum I’ve owned they are the very best in this segment. I highly recommend them for battery life, best in class suction and a balance of weight and usability copied by many but never duplicated.

I’m so happy I finally decided to buy this! It’s super light but extremely powerful and with 2 cats and a dog I can easily vacuum twice a day to keep the floors fur free

I LOVE this Dyson model. This is the 3rd V8 I've purchased over the last 10 years. I have 2 dogs and 2 boys and use this product daily--it is amazing on all floor finishes, dog beds, couches, rugs, etc...and none of the other models I've tried compare with the V8!
