Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Powerful but bad battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s a powerful and versatile cordless vacuum but the battery life deteriorates pretty fast. Before I returned it, I could only get 15 mins or so in the max suction mode on full charge.

I wanted a small vac for car and small jobs around the house. I'm pretty sure she really new what she was doing because now I'm sweeping the kitchen, family room, her car, and mine as well as the boat. This thing is lite, very maneuverable and has plenty of power. Its very easy to empty and clean the filters. Kudos to the engineers, you've designed a fantastic product. Oh well happy wife happy life. I wonder if they could design it with a cup holder?
