This vacuum cleaner is a great purchase. The pros of this model by Dyson are the compact size of the vacuum, the myriad of attachments, the suction on max suction, the fact that it is cordless, and the weight. The cons, however, are the short battery life and the long charge time. There is a considerable difference between the two suction modes. The first mode, which makes the vacuum run for 40 minutes, barely has any suction. I find myself going over the same area twice. However now I just turn the knob to max suction which is more efficient and I find that this level is really powerful. I find the difference in these settings a little troubling. Also, the short battery life on this vacuum is terrible. My drone for instance, the Mavic Pro, has more watt-hours in the battery than there are on this Dyson. Also, the battery on my drone charges in a 1/5 of the time. Dyson has the room to make the battery accommodate about 15 more watt-hours and could redesign the charger so it charges in an hour and half. I guess that is the drawback when you have a cordless vacuum. The vacuum itself is less cumbersome but at the same time, you cannot vacuum indefinitely like you can with a cord vacuum.

Don't hesitate. Buy this! Nice and light (I am like 105 lbs), so easy to use but its powerful and comes with many attachments. This battery lasts to finish our travel townhome with charge left. Which is completely the opposite of what the sales lady told my husband. He left the store, called home told me how she said it only lasts ten minutes and other stuff. I said get back and buy it. I had read tons of reviews. Called him back to tell him don't buy from her, but too late. Shouldn't be trying to stop you from buying something. Wasted our time. Great Vaccum a little top heavy but performed well only issue was sometimes it didn’t hold the charge. Would be even better if the battery was interchangeable.

Overall this vacuum is very good easy to use, easy to clean. The only problem is the battery life and the battery price.

So lightweight yet powerful and I can get my entire house vacuumed without having to re-charge.

My wife loves this vacuum. It is lightweight and turns with ease. It also separates to do baseboards and furniture. The only negative is that you have to keep the trigger pressed to keep it running.

Great design of V8. However, it's bit more moisy than V7.

best vac for quick jobs. works great easy to use. lite weight dont have to pull a cord around. easy to empty, pull red leveler up and dump. have hard wood floors thur up house and everyone grabs the vac instead of broom now.

Very light wight and easy to use, setup charger at storage. Does a thorough job at vacuuming with one pass. Holds a charge well when using the lower mode which is all that’s really needed. Easy to empty the container.

suction is the best . only battery life is very short

Not a long battery life but great on carpets, rugs, couches, car seats and suuuper easy to empty! Makes vacuuming more often a breeze.
