Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for writing your review on the Dyson V8 Animal Cordless vacuum. Dyson V8 vacuums have a run time of up to 40 minutes, when used in standard power mode. On MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. When the battery is completely depleted, re-charge time is about 5 hours.

You will have two suction modes, regular and MAX, for tackling any size mess in your home. While MAX is great for larger debris or more stubborn messes, we don't recommend that mode for everyday cleaning, as it definitely can place more strain on the battery, resulting in less battery life.
