Let me first say that my life has been transformed going to a cordless vacuum. I didn't realize how much time was wasted flopping a cord, and moving it from outlet to outlet. Additionally, I normally wouldn't wall mount something like this, but I took the plunge and screwed it in because I have been so impressed. The vacuum is lighter than I expected, and has enough battery for me to do multiple rooms on three floors. I have a mix of tile, hardwood, and carpet, and it works well on all of them. I even did two staircases at the max suction setting. I think the only function this product is missing would be a good deep carpet clean. If you have a lot of carpet, I would recommend still having a corded full size vacuum for occasional deep cleans. This little guy does a great job, but I don't feel it really gets into the carpet. Don't get me wrong, it picks up the dirt and makes great carpet lines, but I don't think this product was really designed for full out carpet cleaning. That being said, the ease of use and amount of battery life makes this a very, very, very versatile vacuum. In addition being so amazing, it also looks really cool.

How, after this many generations, is that possibly a thing? Even gas pumps have a mechanical way not to have to hold a gas pump while you’re filling up. 2- the little stand doesn’t have the ability to hold all the add ons. Or if it does, it’s not in the cryptic manual that is designed to save them money instead of explain things. 3- it’s not as easy to maneuver or as light as I expected. My arm literally hurt after trying to vacuum an area rug.

Dyson cordless vacuums will feature a runtime enhancing light touch trigger, which requires little pressure to run the unit as well. It may also prove helpful to ensure the unit is held with a firm, but not a very tight grasp, given that the light touch trigger does not require a very hard press or grasp to operate. Because of this trigger, the battery power is only used when the trigger is pulled and is not depleted in standby mode.

The V8 is advertised to get 7 minutes in MAX mode for tougher jobs. 25 minutes in standard mode with the motorized cleaner head attached and 30 minutes with the soft roller cleaner head or mini motorized tool attached. 40 minutes for any other tool. complete waste of money!

Have to speed vacuum to get done before the battery dies because it then has to charge at least a few hours till you can use it again. Never again Dyson, never again cordless. $400 down the drain!
