My home is about 1100 sqft. Just me and one dog that doesn't shed much. Works really well. Plenty of charge to do the whole house and clean some furniture. Great attachments. The head for the floor is motorized and the upholstery attachment is motorized so it does a great job cleaning pet hair out of furniture. Great for a quick clean of vehicle floor mats. Has two suction/power levels. I've never had the battery run down using it in standard mode. I've read will last 20 minutes, but I always finish before then. The super suction will last about 7 mins. The good thing about the trigger operation is you can let go and conserve battery power between rooms/areas. My house is all hardwood and/or tile. The head is rotating for carpet, but it doesn't hurt the hardwood or tile. Does a great job of picking up. Canister is easy to empty. The wall mounting charging kit is easy to install too. So convenient for those quick cleanups when you don't want to drag out a regular vacuum, but unless your house is really big and a lot of people and pets, this will be more than enough. Charges from dead to full in about 5 hours.

Very powerful. But battery dies quickly. And in turbo it doesn't last for more than a room. Cleans great. I wish the handle was user friendly. Is dificult to grasp in the eoght position wiouth getting blisters at the end of the cleanin in the knucle of your thumb.

Easy to use, easy to separate attachments and for dumping debris. Light and quiet compared to canister cleaners. (But the cats still don't like it!)

Awesome vacuum for a small space. House is only about half carpet, so I love the versatility to move it around. Dies super fast. Like insanely fast. Hate to deduct a star for that but it is inconvenient. Would be perfect with a superior battery! Other than that, sucking power is really good. We have long ish carpet and I feel like it does a good job getting human and dog hair up. Maybe not as great as a super high end vacuum but it serves its purpose being lightweight and movable.

I bought this stick Vac because I wanted a vacuum that was light weight and easy to use for quick jobs. I use it in the bathroom and kitchen and also around the cat litter box. It has great suction power and is easy to handle plus I love that it is cordless!

Everything is positive. Lightweight, sufficient battery life (no cord), very strong suction, easy to empty (no bags), easy to use, good attachments, easy to store when not in use, but needs electrical outlet - plug in when not in use to keep battery charged.

I’ve owned a few stick vacuums, but this one is by far the best. Great suction, but isn’t too heavy to carry. The attachments switch out very easily. The only thing to consider is battery life, this isn’t my main vacuum so it lasts long enough for me, but the battery does run out quickly especially when using max suction.

Its an amazing vacuum, really powerful. I bought it as a house warming gift for my friend because I enjoyed mine so much. Its cordless and easy to use, and easy to dump the tray out. Plus it comes with plenty of attachments and even a mount to put it on a wall or in a closet.

Lightweight, easy to clean parts, washable filters, long-lasting battery. Will pull pine needles out of carpet, pethair is no challenge- the dirt cup fills fast. With a 1700 sq ft home I really needed a spare battery to do the entire floor on a single charge, so this is my 2nd V8, a new extra!

This is the best vacuum I have ever bought in my entire life. I will never gear away from this Dyson again if I ever have to replace, I will do so with the newer version I have been using this vacuum for 2 1/2 to 3 years now and it works just as well as on day, one certainly worth the money and the quality.

My wife and I decided to finally go with a Dyson after our last vacuum died. We have air purifiers throughout our home, so I was dumbstruck after we ran it for the first time and saw the large amount of dust it collected from our carpets after we had vacuumed just a week earlier! The collection compartment makes vacuuming fun because the amount it collects is more than I expect so I know it's doing a great job!

My wife loves to vacuum. I bought this for her ( and me) since it works great and is quiet., She loves the ease of use and the power of the suction. , It is quiet and has completely resolved our arguments concerning her excessive need to vacuum since I can tolerate the low level of noise. Thank you DYSON. Marriage saver.

This vacuum is excellent as long as you do not get too aggressive w the size of items you are trying to suck up. It can clog easily and can require frequent declogging if you try to do too much. Keep to carpet and lite messes.

I love this vacuum. This was my first purchase with my best buy card a couple years back. It’s still in great shape and has served its purpose. While it might not last a long time on full power mode. I will say the basic power mode is quite but don’t let it fool you because it still cleans up everything it touches. very flexible and skinny for tight spots.

I already have a cordless Dyson hand vacuum which I use ALL the time (I have cats) and have been totally happy with. But I wanted one that's floor length for other kinds of vacuuming. Being a small person I got the lighter model. It's been great. I know some people don't like the 40 minute battery time but that hasn't been a problem for me. It's so much easier to grab and use with little effort compared to my older, much heavier traditional type vacuum. And since I don't have to deal with a cord I go quicker. My only suggestion concerns the power button which you have to hold down while using it, which isn't a big deal but if they were a way to lock it in place that would be a good feature.

I never thought I’d be the kind of person to get emotional about a vacuum, but here we are. In the divorce, I lost custody of the Dyson cordless (among other things), and let me tell you, that was the real heartbreak. First purchase in my new place? This beauty. It’s lightweight, it’s sleek, and the suction power is so strong it picked up the crumbs of my past and the dust bunnies of my future. It even charges on the wall like it’s hanging out, ready for round two of “who’s really thriving now?” If you’re starting fresh, skip the rebound and go straight for this vacuum.

This is the second Dyson animal vacum that we've owned..the battery life eventually gets pretty bad after a number of years, and its not worth paying for a new battery. That said, this things works great, and gets up a crazy amount of stuff!

This Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum is easy to use, battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum several rooms and is powerful enough. This is the second one, same model, I’ve purchased. The first one about five years.

This is the best vacuum and I love that its cord free, but the battery does drain quickly. You can’t plug it in and use it at the same time. Don’t expect to vacuum an entire 4 bedroom house on 1 charge. Other than that, its great if you have pets.
