Doesn’t really work on my rug. Picks up good on my wooded flooring. Do wish the battery lasted a little longer.

I wanted to wait until I had a lot of experience with this before reviewing. Overall, I like it and don't regret the purchase. Cordless stick vacs by nature are convenient. Emptying the canister is pretty easy but we do have to stick our hands in there a bit to get long, tangled hair out. I read a lot of negative comments on the battery only lasting for 15 mins, but ours lasts a long time, to the point where we charge it once a month maybe. That said, we use it for spot cleaning and for full floor coverage, we use a traditional stand-up floor vac. One thing that surprised me was the weight. I'm a reasonably fit guy but not huge (135 lbs) and holding the vac with one harm, horizontally actually causes some forearm fatique quicker than I expected. Sometimes I'll have to switch arms. One small annoyance is that when I'm finding a grip to dock the vac in it's wall holster, I will often accidentally hit the on button, which is a little annoying. However, the most annoying part of the vac by far is the angle or placement of the fan. I can't tell you how often I've cursed after having the fan blow in my face. It doesn't seem like it would but it does, especially when using the short stick attachment. If you're just using it with the long arm attachment to clean the ground, then it won't be an issue. Overall for the money, I will probably try a budget friendly cordless stick vac next just to see if a cheaper one will get the job done about as well.

Very powerful. Took a while to understand how to clean it properly but it works better than expected, the rubber band pushes all dust out of the bin. Only thing that takes time to get used is to have to keep the finger pressed to keep it on. Lets see if the battery lifetime is better than my previous one

This vaccum is perfect for my one bedroom apartment. It is super powerful and tackled german shepard hair with no problems. I love its portability that allows me to clean out my car also. The only downside is that the battery doesnt last long when you have it on the most powerful setting. There are hacks on youtube to increase the power range if thats your thing. I would highly recommend this dyson.

Been going strong 2 years now. Picks up more hair/dirt then any vacuum I've used before. Battery is still going strong and is easy to disassemble for cleaning.

This vacuum pretty much lives up to its brand image. Great suction, not too heavy. Easy to empty but not a lot of capacity. The battery life is pretty short, especially in high suction mode. Probably worth spending the money for the V-10

This vacuum is easily stronger than my plug into the wall. On max power mode I get about 15 min, but I get more done in that short time frame than with any other vacuum. Its also fun to use of you're weird like me and like to vacuum. Highly recommend if you can drop the little extra cash

My first Dyson and has not disappointed! I haven’t needed to give my vacuum a haircut with my thick and long hair. Impressed!

Works great, worth the price, and is lightweight. Better quality than the more expensive models and comes with attachments.

Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Cleans very well with good suction and brush action. Low noise level..easy to use attachments. Picks up cat hair like a dream..

The Dyson V8 cordless vac is a great vacuum for the whole house. The only downfall is the battery. We found that it does it’s best in “max” mode on carpet and upholstery, but the battery goes very quickly. Overall, we love that it’s lightweight and can reach high areas, like ceiling fans and vents. Compared to other cordless vacs that we looked at, this one was the best.

This vac is the greatest, powerful suction and great battery life. Was a bit worries about battery life after reading that it only lasts 8 min in max mode, but its enough time to clean our whole house. The fact that its cordless makes cleaning a breeze instead of a daunting chore.

What can I say. This machine works great. Being on sale makes it a lot better. Having Best Buy Rewards makes it fantastic.I owned a Dyson V7 Animal Cord Free Stick Vacuum and after almost two years, the machine wouldn't start and was considered broken. I sent it back to a different vender and now I own a V^*. The vacuum is more powerful and it works great. I highly recommend this stick. Hopefully, it will last more than 2 years. I did purchase a warranty for the machine which covers the battery.

I love my vacuum it’s the best purchase I made. I’m thinking about purchasing the latest Dyson.

The last one we had lasted almost seven years. These are great for light cleaning, when you don't want to have to get the big vacuum out.

Dyson products suck. They suck better than any other comparable product on the market. Some vacuums simply sit around, collecting dust, which is fine, but if you want something that really sucks, get a Dyson. Not only will it collect dust, but it will make short work of cat hair, litter than your cat leaves on the floor because it can't be bothered to swipe away from the entrance of the litter box, those mysterious pieces of plastic that you find on the kitchen tile that the cat swears just appear at night, confetti that is lodged into the cushions of your couch and manages to find its way to your carpet as well as the run-of-the-mill dirt trail from the front door to wherever the offending party who didn't remove their shoes lands.

I’ve had mine for over 7years now. It is amazing. I’ve never felt my house cleaner. It sucks all the dirt with ease. I bought this as a present/house warming. Couldn’t think of a better It is amazing

I’ve got 2 cats and maybe 500 sq. ft. of carpet to vacuum. With the exception of one thing, I LOVE my new Dyson. In no particular order – no cord – this may be my favorite thing – I just buzz all over. Super easy. It holds a good charge for me. I can vacuum 3 times before having to charge (maybe 500 sq ft of carpet?). Oh another SIGNIFICANT benefit ---I’m never going to have to flip my couch or move mattresses to get under couch/bed again. It goes under my dresser. Really like this feature. Cleaning is easy. Best to clean after every use if you want to get a good lifetime out of the product. I know cleaning sux, but it must be done. There is an app you can put on your phone – I have found this to be very very helpful. This is my problem issue. Yes, this vacuum is very lightweight. I too, like this feature. But, all the weight is contained right below the trigger – it’s the battery. I’ve got moderately severe arthritis in my hands and fingers. Three surgeries on thumbs alone. They’re weak. Hands, fingers, thumbs. I’ve also got very small hands. – it’s a challenge and I wish I did not have to “pull the trigger” the entire time. The battery is below the trigger; this is the heaviest part of the machine – so if you have arthritis in your hands/fingers and have small hands, this is going to be an issue for sure. I wear bicycle gloves for added padding and I rest regularly.

Love this vacuum!! I have a cat, so I vacuum like everyday and this one holds up! I like that it has 2 settings, so I can use more suction when in the cats room, and less throughout the rest of the house. The batter holds a good charge. I have a 3 bedroom house and I usually charge this once every 10ish days, sometimes even longer. I love that I can go from carpet to bare floor easily.
