I use this at my ranch in the mountains to there is always dirt, mud, and firewood bark, bugs and spider webs. Great because no winding of cords, right there on the wall and does a great job of getting the job done.

Coming from someone who is used to corded vacuums I thought it was time for me to finally get a wireless stick vacuum. I was ready to buy the Tineco but my partner was set on the Dyson. We have two cats and a baby so as he explained the Dyson would be best. It’s mid at best. We have a $79 shark pet handheld vacuum and that does a better job than the Dyson. The Dyson does however work really well on the Max power setting. But I’ve never maxed out using it (no pun intended) but it’s supposed to last 9 mins on Max. I only use it for hard to clean messes like cat fur off our carpet-less floors. Or in the nooks and crevices of the baby’s high chair. Or hard to reach places where the nozzle can’t fully reach the max is powerful enough to suck items it doesn’t touch up. (Think: Super Mario Bro Invincible Star). But it’s not a bad vacuum it gets the job done and I haven’t had the battery run out on me yet. We use it in short bursts for the most part clean one room then vacuum -put it back on the the charger- clean the next. I’m hoping the v15 or the submarine one works better especially for the price. But if you’re looking for something that meets expectations, gets the job done, and doesn’t wow you with every use. Look no further. (Maybe look at the Tineco for half the price)?

Pound per pound, one of the best. Light wieght, easy to use and store. Max power really gets up dirt. Cons; have to empty it often, max power drains battery to fast.

Great vacuum at a good price. Dyson is always top notch

I purchased the Dyson V8 for my mom for Christmas. She’s older and has a big heavy Kirby vacuum that seems average at best- to her heavy means it’s quality. Well I had her vacuum with her Kirby and then I vacuumed the same carpet with the Dyson. I almost completely filled the canister! I don’t blame her - decades ago cordless vacs were weak and ineffective compared to their plug-in counterparts. The Dyson V8 is proof that even a mid-level Dyson is better than what used to be a premium vacuum from the 90s. My mom isn’t a total convert yet - she’s suspicious of the battery lasting the rest of time, but with a Li-on battery, I’m not at all worried. So back to the performance of the V8 - what a great machine. I have an older model and it seems that each new verso. Of the Dyson vacs gets better and better. I love the choice of the attachment heads. The short motorized head is perfect for carpeted stairs and the long motorized head works well on shorter and longer pile carpets alike. I also love the wall hanging charger. It holds a couple attachments and takes up very little space. I’m secretly hoping my older model Dyson doesn’t hold on forever because I’m looking forward to upgrading at some point!

Great suction, long battery life. I can vacuum my whole apartment with no trouble. Well worth the premium price.

This vacuum has met all of my expectations. I love the rubber brush and the fact that hair doesn't get wrapped around like the bristle brushes. It has great power and has rejuvenated some of my older rugs when I use the higher power. The battery life is sufficient for what I use it for. I have had the battery run out quicker if I'm using the high power for an extended time. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this vacuum.

The Dyson V8 is a total game-changer! It’s super lightweight, easy to use, and has great suction power. I love that it’s cordless, so I don’t have to deal with annoying wires while cleaning. This is really nice hand held, works as expected. I own another Dyson vacuum so not surprised. Only one issue when switched to MAX option, charge does not last long, although the MAX option not needed for my use.

While this is great for getting literally anywhere (got cobwebs off the ceiling even) the battery life leaves something to be desired in regards to how short the life is if you need high suction. With animal hair you need stronger suction and that kills the battery quickly.

I love this cordless Dyson!! I researched multiple different brands knowing i would come back to Dyson but then the Dyson choices were endless. After deciding the extra attachments were worth it, I bought the V8. Even without the hair attachment it clears pet hair! I have a long and medium haired cat and have had people in my house with allergies that didnt react! No better compliment can be said. Its so light I am able to walk around with it and not feel bogged down. I use this on the stairs, furniture, tile floors, bench seats and more. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic vacuum. I love that it is cord-free. It has made vacuuming so simple and easy. I find myself vacuuming more often than I used to because it is so simple and easy. I've been so impressed by how much it picks up even after repeated uses. Only complaint is that the battery doesn't last very long. But that is understandable. Highly recommend!!
