I have owned a couple full size Dyson vacuums in the past and I have been very happy with them, so I thought I would give this one a try too! It has the same build quality as most of the dyson products, pretty much all thick plastic parts, but i've never had a problem with anything breaking. The one time I did have one of the latches break on a Dyson product it was very easy to get a replacement part for free because it was still covered under warranty. I have to say that I really do like the form factor of this unit. It is very lightweight and is very easy to maneuver around. It is also very easy to get in places that a regular vacuum cleaner simply cant. The multiple attachments will pretty much cover any kind of vacuuming you would need to do. Would be nice to have one designed for hardwood floors, and I know Dyson has one, but it's not included with this specific model. I found that I was easily able to reach all areas on my floors whether they were carpet, hardwood, or linoleum. I was also able to easily reach up in the corners of the ceiling with the long pole attached to get cobwebs, and it didn't really add that much extra weight to the unit. Now for the performance. I found that this vacuum did a good job of most day to day tasks, but I have a feeling that on the lower power setting (high suction) wouldn't be enough power to get a deep clean on your carpets. It will easily pick up a lot of surface stuff, but I have a feeling it wouldn't have enough suction to get deep down on a thicker carpet, so i'm not sure if this would be able to replace a full size vacuum or not. As a test I took some shredded paper out of my shredder and threw it on the floor and stepped on it to grind it in the carpet a little bit, and it was easily able to pick it all up with one pass. The battery life was accurate for the lower setting, I was easily getting 30-45 minutes of run time on that setting. There is also a higher setting (max suction) that I think would do a much better job of cleaning thicker carpet and on that setting I think it could be a suitable replacement for a full size vacuum. The only problem is that you only get 7 minutes of run time on a full charge at the higher suction setting (I was able to get 8 before it died) So if you don't have a large area to vacuum...this might be perfect for you. The nice part is that the vacuum goes on and off with a simple trigger. That allows you to easily turn the vacuum off for a few seconds if you are not using it instead of having to try and fight with foot switches like you'd find on a regular vacuum. I think this vacuum would really be suited for just grabbing to do a quick clean before company came over, or if you had a little spill of something. Or cleaning out your car, or getting up in the corners of the ceiling. Works great on steps too because it's so small. I think it could definitely compliment a full size vacuum, but I don't know about replacing it altogether. I would say try it out, and see what you think! Would be nice if the battery was easily removable and a higher capacity one was available. I know it would add a little more weight, but it might be worth it for some people who could handle it to get the longer cleaning time on maximum suction. Overall I think it is a great product and I can see myself using it very often for cleaning tasks around the house and in my car. I think it is another great Dyson product, but it comes with the usual high Dyson price tag. Definitely worth checking out though if you are in the market for a vacuum cleaner.

Works great. Even the best vac is useless if you don't us it. This vac is actually fun to use. My floors and rugs have never been cleaner. We have a fluffy cat and this handles her hair without any problem.

Very powerful for its size. This is my first Dyson product and it didn't disappoint. Really convenient for carpeted stairs.

Best vacuum I've ever owned. Worked on both hardwood and carpet. Love the max suction feature as it really get the dirt that's deep in the carpet.

I wanted a vacuum that would be handy for quick clean up between full cleaning and I got it. I would recommend this product fully.

Its amazing. Cleans hardwood floors and carpet well. Compact and easy to carry it up and down and lift. Would definitely recommend this product

This is hands down a great vacuum and has made my life so much easier when it comes to cleaning. Not only mine actually, it makes my family happy. My family feel so much more happier vacuuming since they don't have to keep replugging the switch to different outlets since our house is big. They vacuum way more often now as well because of how easy it is. The only flaw or issue I had with the vacuum so far is the cannister to dump the gunk out. Sometimes the junk would get stuck when you're trying to empty it out and I think that's a result from the cannister compacting too much dust and it gets too full. There comes a point where we'd need to shake the cannister for the trash to come out or even pull it out with our fingers. No matter how you drop the pile of dust and hair you collected, it will always hit the surface and throw up more dust into the air and it low-key makes me freak out a bit. Other than that, I had no other issues!

The vacuum does have more power than expected but when running on its high setting for power it doesn't make it thru an entire floor sweeping; I need to alternate between high and low settings to make it last.

210 minute charge time to get 12 minutes of vacuuming. Such a let down especially when the specs say 40 minutes of run time. Thats what i get for spening $500 just for the name.

This vacuum is excellent for a home with animals. It is easy to use and does a great job cleaning around the house. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum.

I love this product. Group suction power and flexibility. The only thing I don't like is the trigger doesn't lock so you have to keep your finger on the trigger to power it up.

Run time on a full charge is only about 30 minutes. Which is just as long as it takes for vacuuming to become boring. Does an amazing job picking up pet fur and dust that I didnt know existed.

I was iffy on paying the price of a stain but my wife wanted one so we tried it. I have to say I do really like it. It works so much better than the sharks we’ve had in the past

Not made like they used to. My older DYSON stick had more suction, a better opening dust canister and a bigger dirt canister.

This is a powerful vac with a long run time. It is far superior to the previious model I had and quieter. The accessories, or tools set is very complete, including a motorized tool to clean your stairs.

Excellent cotdless vacuum. Only doenside isit doesnt pick up cheerios off the kitchen floor without lifting the power head. Otherwise great.

This has bee my favorite new purchase for our new home! It’s compact and so convenient because it’s wireless. I can vacuum the house and my car and not feel like I’m lugging around a huge vacuum.

I bought this vacuum couple months ago. I am super happy with it. It is very easy to use. Not too heavy. I use it to vacuum my house all the time

I absolutely enjoy using my stick vacuum! I believe it cut my vacuum time in half, even when using the many attachments. No cords and no heavy machine to tug around! I can vacuum approximately 1200 S.F. and empty the canister once (probably because I vacuum at least twice a week). I have one long hair cat and the stick picks up all dander and hair, from everywhere! It's easy to clean and it's stored on the charger on my laundry room wall, which is a real value and space saver!
