I have a large shedding dog and now I can vacuum my whole house, hardwoods and carpet in one shot. I put my broom in my garage after I got this vacuum and haven't used it since. I really enjoy vacuuming now and having a vacuum that does clog and picks up everything on the floors. Well worth the investment. Plus, Best Buy price matched Amazon and I got it $100 cheaper than it was listed for. They have such great customer service everytime I use them, Thanks Best Buy!

Doesn't stay powered up long enough...Dyson needs to get power packs so that one can charge while the other is being used.

I am pleased to hear you are satisfied with how well it picks up and the ease of emptying the contents. The V8 is advertised to get 7 minutes in MAX mode for tougher jobs. 25 minutes in standard mode with the motorized cleaner head attached and 30 minutes with the soft roller cleanerhead or mini motorized tool attached. 40 minutes for any other tool. Under turbo mode last a lot shorter however still a convenient vacuum without having to lug around a big piece.

The vacuum cleaner has an extra head that easily removes hair from couch and sofa fabrics. Easily installed and easy to use. Definitely recommend it.

Once you release vacuum trigger vacuum stop running. Also, because the vacuum is top heavy, you must lay it down if you need to move furniture etc.

Posted .Hello Bernard, this is Kelly with Dyson. I can confirm our V8 cord-free vacuum does not have a lever or lock on the trigger, to hold that in place while you vacuum. This machine does have our light-touch trigger, and you will need to hold the trigger down to provide power to the motor. Gets it all. Easy to use, head swivels to get different angles. No negatives at all. Battery holds up well.
