    I have 2 long haired cats and a long haired girlfriend. There is hair on every surface of my house. This vacuum is the only tool I need to clean my 2300 square foot home

    Good vacuum for quick clean ups and collecting dog hair. Battery doesn’t last very long when running on high speed. Easy to get in thought areas and light weight

      Hello Jeff, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review of the Dyson V8 Animal. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual, and we'd value the opportunity to go over your machine with you.

    Suction is wonderful for pet hair, but smaller debris fling behind the vacuum. The battery life is terrible, as all reviews reported, but thankfully my home is small. Just makes it aggravating if I forget to charge it after each and every use. Update: after 6 months of use the vacuum has stopped working all together. It powers on like it’s dying, but it’s clean and has a full battery. Feel like i waited $400. So very very bummed about this purchase. :(

      Hello Amorgan, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that thus far in your use, you were impressed with the suction from your V8 Animal. Your machine will also have two suction modes, MAX and regular. MAX provides a boost of suction power for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode will shorten run time to about 7 minutes, since it does draw so much power from the battery. When using regular suction mode, you can expect 30-40 minutes of run time.

    This vacuum sucks...literally.. It has longer battery life than Dyson V6 and so far it has been fantastic on our hardwood floors. My only regret is I didn't purchase this sooner.

    Literally the strongest best vacuum ever, after getting my first pet my allergies were pretty bad. After using this vacuum I haven’t had allergies hardly at all.
