    The Dyson animal cord-free stick vacuum is the best one around. Got it at a great price at best buy!

    I have had this vacuum for about 2 years now and the battery last about 4-5 minutes if I am lucky. This is totally unacceptable for such an expensive item. I would not recommend this item especially if you have a large home.

    I love my Dyson it’s so easy to use and not bulky like a regular vacuum. I don’t have pets so I can’t reference the pet hair questions however it does have 2 settings if you need more power in some areas. The only thing I didn’t like about it was a Dyson issue not a Best Buy issue, they pulled an Apple so the attachments which aren’t cheap that I bought for my old Dyson do not fit on the new one.... same with the plug I had to re hang it more holes on the wall.

    I spent several days researching the right vacuum for my carpeted home with 2 animals. I really wanted to love this... I fully charged it before the first use and tried to vacuum my 1,400 sq ft home. It died after the first 20 minutes. I then tried to charge it to finish the job... charging takes several hours. It took me 2 days to vacuum my home and then when I checked the high-pile carpet after, there was still pet hair. Not only that, the brush roller would get jammed and stop rolling so I had to push it harder than I should've. I returned it several days later. It's not worth the price tag.

      Hi Meluca, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the run time your V8 offers, to not be sufficient enough to clean your home. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

    I have about 18 x 14 of carpet space in my house. This little guy can handle it no problem! The suction power is stronger then I expected.

    We own 3 Dyson products now. 10+yr old upright, by and now v8. We are pleased with the v8. Great stick for vacuuming throw rugs and hardwood floors. Even a quick vacuum of whole room flooring. We have 2 cats and all the vacuums do a great job picking up the hair. I would totally recommend Dyson to anyone! Be sure to read what's in the box. This particular did not come with the powered soft roller attachment, purchase separately will cost $112. If we had purchased the v8 with this attachment, we would have $350. Purchased separately (v8 plus attachment) $412.
