    This vacuum has the worst battery life. If I would have known this, I would have never purchased it. Unfortunately this is my first Dyson product and it will be my last.

    Sweeper suction not that impressive, considering the price. Sweeper has a hard time along edges and picking up larger objects like leaves from a plant. Dirt ejection lever very still and awkward to use. Vacuum maneuvers well and the cordless feature is a plus. Battery charge not as long as specified but lasts enough to do a room.

      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the suction from your V8 Animal to be less-than sufficient for your home. Your vacuum, while smaller, lightweight and cordless, can still pack the same power as a corded vacuum cleaner. This will all be thanks to the powerful V6 motor which spins at 110,000rpm, providing you with powerful suction, making our cordless machines the most powerful cordless vacuums. Dyson V8 Animal also includes a direct drive motorized brush bar, which is designed to provide up to 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6 cord free vacuum.

      Dyson V8 Animal also features two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. Also, while many do use Dyson cordless machines as their main vacuum at home, if you prefer a longer run time, we’d recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models.

    I regret purchasing this. Within 5 months of purchase, it wasn't working, ie the motor would stop & go. Best Buy could not help, I had to call Dyson directly but they wouldn't help since I hadn't registered the product, despite my providing a serial number. Once I registered, they never let me know that I hadn't provided sufficient proof of purchase. And they only reason they told me was because I kept asking why - what did they need. Will never buy a Dyson again.
