The suction is not good at all. I regret buying this and for the cost.

Easily broke on the bottom. Only after 2 use, and since I opened up after the return period, was not able to get any credit. Would not recommend getting this item at Best buy

Best vacuume ever owned has a shark that I loved and this is better. Light weight. Easy to use. Gets into all spaces.

This is like an annuity for dyson. Mine broke after 12 months and dyson doesn’t care to fix my appliance. Never buying dyson again. Won’t allow my family to buy dyson.

This Dyson is a nice, small, compact vacuum that does the job. The suction is more powerful than the first iteration of the Animal and does a great job. This vacuum comes with plenty of attachments that are very easy to take off and put on. This vacuum is more for a quick clean up and the battery only lasts about 40 minutes. Even after using this on a rug that we had just vacuumed, it picked up more hair and dirt than our normal vacuum, so the suction is very powerful.

Less than six months usage and the padding on the beater bar it worn out leaving lovely scratches on the wood flooring.

I am so glad to have received the Dyson V8 Animal from Best Buy. There simply isn't any great competitors out there for the type of portability and suction. This unit is small, powerful, and with a wide variety of attachments for floor cleaning and I especially use it to clean my car and garage. At the end of the day, this baby saved me a lot of time and hassle. Being cordless with the amount of power is simply amazing.

Bought this Dyson. After I opened the box and charged it I was ready to use it. Except it didn't do anything. The motor was dead. Had to return it.

As a current Dyson owner, this is a very good product. Easy to set up and works like a charm. Suction power is very good compared to the last model. Useage time could bear to be better but overall it works great. If you have the last model the attachments are not interchangeable. 2 year full warranty is also very helpful.

Dyson V8 is definitely the absolute vacuum for pet owners. Battery life is doubled from the previous V6, going from merely 20 minutes to 40 minutes. However, with power comes greater weight as well. The V6 came in just under 5 lbs, and V8 is at 5.6 lbs. It's still light enough to use to clean cobweb on the ceiling or cheerios in our minivan. We're very happy with the strong suction. The only con is the price, but you're getting a performance machine. So it's a good trade off.

This vacuum is an amazing product!! Let me first say that my life has been transformed going to a cordless vacuum. I didn't realize how much time was wasted flopping a cord around, and moving it from outlet to outlet. I normally wouldn't wall mount something like this, but I took the plunge and screwed it in because I have been so impressed. The vacuum is lighter than I expected, and has enough battery for me to do multiple rooms on three floors. I have a mix of tile, hardwood, and carpet, and it works well on all of them. I even did two staircases at the max suction setting. I think the only function this product is missing would be a good deep carpet clean. If you have a lot of carpet, I would recommend still having a corded full size vacuum for occasional deep cleans. This little guy does a great job, but I don't feel it really gets into the carpet. Don't get me wrong, it picks up the dirt and makes great carpet lines, but I don't think this product was really designed for full out carpet cleaning. That being said, the ease of use and amount of battery life makes this a very, very, very versatile vacuum. In addition being so amazing, it also looks really cool.

Started giving problem after an year. Suction won’t work anymore. Even got it repaired, the problem persists.

wont work with the filter. Works great without the filter on top, but when I put it in it wont work, also wont make suction after I clean it.

I charged it for four hours and that gave me 35 minutes of vacuuming. Not worth it. I returned it.

Dyson makes a well made product, this shows in the details within this product. That attention to detail comes through with function over design, which I appreciate. The main feature I like with their products is the warranty they provide for the customer. I have had to pleasure of speaking with tech support on this vac which was informative and resolved my issue within mins. Needless to say, most tech products don't have that customer service touch after the purchase experience. Pros: I like how organized all the items are placed in the box. You wouldn't think you were getting a lot of accessories when you purchase this item. Easy to read instructions. Comes charged at 20% battery recommended to fully charge before use which takes 5 hours on the first initial charge. Comes with a cradle to place on wall. Cons: No where to place additional heads. Placement for staff needs it's own location, losing items is foreseeable. Overall, this will last a long time and can be seen for reliability in the foreseeable future. It's pieces will need thought on where to store them and the price would have to be justified by the purchaser. At least you're getting a well built product that has great customer service.

use it twice and it didnt charge more than 10 minutes. useless

I've had this vacuum for two years now. It has worked nicely, charge has been long enough to vacuum my carpeted upstairs, stairs and long rug in my foyer. Unfortunately, it seems two years is the life span of the battery. It dies quicker now and doesn't have the same sucking power. The motor gets very hot as well and almost burns my hand while I am vacuuming. I am currently trying to decide if I should purchase a replacement battery or buy a new vacuum...?

Very impressive performance. I was skeptical at first but the suction power of this small vacuum is ahead of its time. So far I have nothing bad to say about it. Someone reviewing the product said it is not replacing their regular vacuum for the entire house but I completely disagree. This is very capable of being your only vacuum. We get to do 5 rooms before it needs to be recharged again so the amount of time the battery lasts is not a problem. Also, for the price, it better be able to take care of the entire house! It actually makes you want to vacuum. It's fun and easy to use. Watching it perform is also half the fun. You won't believe the power.
