EA's first golf game in 8 years is a welcome improvement over their previous offering (2015's lackluster "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour"). The inclusion of all men's golf major championships, including The Masters at a beautifully rendered Augusta National, provides golf fans with a virtual way to play the most important events of the year in career mode. There are lots of scenario-based Challenges to play, including new ones that get added in following each real-life event. That said, the gameplay can feel a bit disjointed at times...there seems to be some randomness, due to the "dispersion zone" that's shown when aiming your shot. Putting and the short game both feel a tad clunky as well, especially if you've played the other golf game on the market, PGA 2K23. However, the game provides stunning visuals and plenty of content to keep both hackers and scratch golfers coming back for tee times again and again.

I wish i could rate it higher but it still feels basic like ea sports Rory McIlroys PGA.. theres a few flaws they need to work out. Theres an old saying, if its not broke, DONT fix it.

Got this for my buddy so we could play together, as there is no cross-play. Pros: Graphics are phenomenal, club sounds are great as well. Having all the major club brands and big name courses is a treat. Fun to pickup and play casually. Cons: Even on harder difficulty, there is next to no penalty for shots out of the rough and bunker. Often see shots from deep rough go long distances and have check. No crossplay, and online matchmaking is not always even. Our created players are 80s-70s but are usually paired up against 99s who have all the skills and shot types unlocked. The available modes to play as a team online are very limited and rotate each night.

This game has really took my free time away from me. I am not even a real huge golf fan but bought this because it was on sale and remember being younger playing the tiger woods golf games on the PS2. This game is pretty much similar to those older ones. Graphics look amazing on my 4k tv. its easy enough but you will have to grind out for a bit on order to level up your character. Once you get your character decent enough its starts to became easier. Would receommend for any golf fan and anyone who may not love the sport but looking for a relaxing video game to play. Also has a tone of real courses and quite a bit of real life golfers. No tiger woods though. He is now on the 2k series.

Solid game for true golf fans. It's a proper golf simulation. Arcade fans, you might wanna look at 2K23 because this game is hard, but equally rewarding. The amount of satisfaction you get after struggling at first but winning tournaments and majors after you've got some game time under your belt is immense. For players new to golf game as I was, I would suggest looking at a few YouTube videos to get some tips and tricks to get low scores and improve your game gradually, especially putting. I've put about 60 hrs into the game and I cannot put it down. With a few improvements in the next installment, this has the potential to be even better. Graphics are top notch, courses are true to world, majors have a proper feel to it especially the Masters. I picked it up on sale for $18 and it's been worth every penny!

This is the best and most complete golf video game I’ve ever played. The challenges are endless, the graphics are clean and I love the PGA Tour career mode. Lastly the courses are amazing, especially Augusta!

Video game golf is back! Overall the gameplay and course selection is pretty similar to past EA games but thats not a bad thing. Most of the best courses you want to play are here and they all look better than ever. The graphical updates are the highlight for me. It’s not photorealistic but honestly it’s getting pretty close. Perhaps more importantly the golf is fun and controls feel right. This game is incredibly addictive and there is an insane amount of stuff to do in single player. Cons: Menus still feel a bit clunky to me the game overall needs a bit more polish espcially when it comes to progress goals, setting up your equipment etc. Multiplayer stuff a bit lacking at launch but my hunch is that most people who enjoy golf video games prefer single player or in person with friends on the couch. If you like golf or the old tiger woods games this is a highly recommended buy.

Easily a top 10 game for me! Best Buy reserved rhe copy for me and i was able to pick it up a day or two after the order. When i was in my local store, i noticed the game was sold out! Very awesome to have a copy reserved using the app.

This game is beautiful to look at and as expected for a latest generation game. Controls are fun and frustrating as well when you don't make a shot just like in real golf. Would recommend for sure

Fun game. Very simliar to old school Tiger Woods games. Glad they kept that formula. Character creator could be better. Very limited there. Overall fun and more challenging than 2k

Good mechanics, great graphics, also has great courses

First sports game I’ve purchased paying full price in over 10 years and worth every penny! Relaxing, fun, and it has Augusta! Reminding me of the fun I had with EA sports games on PS1 / PS2 back in the day.. interested to see what EA does with NCAA College Football next!
