Great for his small room and because of the colors it is easy to find in his room (ha ha). Great sounding speaker and easy to use.

I did not get the kids subscription part. I got it because of the dinosaur picture on it. It works the same as the other echoes. I'm happy I bought it.

We appreciate any and all feedback provided as we are constantly working to improve upon our products and services for our customers. I was so sorry to hear that you have decided to put your Echo Dot in the closet after your Kid's+ free trial ended. I would like to point out that there are absolutely no subscriptions required for any of our Echo devices including your Kids Dot. The Kid's+ service is a totally optional subscription that customers can use to get additional premium Kid's catered content on their devices. Without the Kid's+ subscription, you still have full access to the Parent Dashboard and Amazon Kids app which allows you to monitor usage and content being used or accessed by your child. It also still has a multitude of free content available through the numerous Alexa Skills that can be used with it. On top of that, you can still connect it to a number of music streaming options as well as for any smart home functions you may have in use in your home. Lastly, the Kids version of our Dot also comes with a Worry Free Guarantee that allows you to replace it or repair it through Amazon Customer Support in the event something were to stop working or damage your Echo Dot. I do hope you set it back up and try it out without the Kid's+ subscription to see if you can utilize the plethora of functions that it can do even without the optional subscription.
