We understand that the kid-focused experience may feel limiting for adult use, and we'd like to share some helpful information. If you'd like to switch between the kids' experience and the standard Alexa experience, you can do so by managing the Amazon Kids settings through the Alexa app or the Amazon Parent Dashboard. When Amazon Kids is paused or the device is switched to the standard profile, the Echo Dot functions just like a regular Echo Dot, giving you full access to all Alexa features, skills, and music services available to adults. To adjust your profiles and toggle between kid and adult modes, open the Alexa app, go to Devices, select your Echo Dot Kids, and manage the Amazon Kids settings from there. This allows the device to serve the whole family, not just the little ones. That’s all I wanted from it. It comes with a subscription to Amazon kids which you need to disable right away unless you specifically want this speaker for children I disabled that Amazon makes it difficult to disable. It have to do it the Alexa app but it can be done.
