Installation of the Ecobee was simple and instructions provided were easy to follow. There is an app you must download to use the device, but it is well laid out and offers conveniences that a regular thermostat does not. The menus are intuitive and the device really does save you money.

This product was simple to install and has been running effectively for last month without any issues. I rated a 4 because we have only had it a limited time. The only minor setback is our wireless internet connection in our rural setting sometimes limits the remote access function, but it's only temporary. I don't foresee anything major here. We had several challenges with our previous nest and made the switch with much success. We definitely prefer this product.

Chose this over the Nest because it integrated with more systems. It was was very easy to install set up.

We purchased two of these at the same time we replaced our 16 year old AC units with new ones. They were easy to setup, are easy to use, work with Alexa and have a pretty solid app. I love the remote sensors, which are included, as they helped us balance the air flow in the house.

This thermostat was easy to install and setup. This particular purchase was to replace my upstairs thermostat. I've been using the Ecobee3 downstairs for about 6 months before I made the switch upstairs. The 6-month trail was great! If your using Apple Home kit this is thermostat is great!

I bought this Thermostat because it had some cool features. The weather updates are great. I did not have a C wire connected but it was a snap because I have one in the wall already and just had to connect down on the furnace itself. So, overall great product and easy installation.

The Ecobee was fairly simple to install, though I did require some assistance from tech support. Once installed and connected to Li-fi the system is stellar. My local weather and forecast appear on screen. Utilizing room sensors, l am able to control comfort in individual rooms.

This will save me money on the days I forget to turn off the heat before going to work. Installation was an easy one-for-one wire swap. Turn off the breaker first so you don't blow the fuse in your heater (like I did). May be eligible for a local energy savings rebate as well!!

Easy to install. Easy to setup. With the thermostat downstairs and the sensor upstairs, it's helping my heating system balance the temperature of the house. It's an older system that generally heats the upstairs much warmer than the down. This thermostat and sensor helps a lot.

Would have been 5 stars but the remote sensors were put together incorrectly. It was a simple fix of opening the case and rotating the sensor window, but for the price you shouldn't have this issue.

Love the ability to control the temperature. Set up is a bit complicated, but once done, it works great.

This thermostat is the best on the market. After doing all the research and going back an fourth between Ecobee and Nest. Ecobee won the battle. It's easy to setup and connect and easy to make adjustments at home or on the road via a mobile device. Get yo self 1.

Reviews showed that this was as good or better than the other top brand-name wi-fi thermostat. I agree! Install took about 20 mins. Set up was self-guided and easy. The only thing that caught me up was whether my heating system was 'energized on cool, or on heat'. You are going to need to figure that out at or before you install. Works great with the mobile app. I even use Alexa to change the temp settings. I definitely recommend.

Big improvement over cheap thermostat that came with the house. Easy to install when never doing anything like that before. Remote sensor let me get the temp right in the bedroom and not the hallway. Takes a few days to get use to it and have everything at the right temps. Way more accurate than the junk ones, so you may need to set it slightly different than before to get the same feel. Cool that you can check it and adjust it from the internet.

Awesome product! Would love to have used it in my house but (to no fault of ecobee) my heating (3 zones) and cooling (1 zone) systems are not comparable. My heating wiring doesn't have a c-wire (common) and running a common to 3 separate zones would be a pain. The cooling is high voltage and only after half of the install do I read that eco bee should not be installed on any gig voltage system. Would LOVE a battery powered unit. Please!!!

I'm quite pleased with the ecobee3 thermostats - I bought 4 of them. Easy to install, and use. I have 3 small issues: 1) Two of my remote sensors keep disconnecting at times. It doesn't appear to be a distance thing, or at least not entirely, but maybe signal interference. 2) If you group sensors like you should, you get duplicate alerts from each of the thermostats for a single event. 3) there is not "read-only" mode for a phone/tablet app.

I was weary of smart thermostats not being as beneficial as they say. However I have quickly changed my mind, I have saved 24% on my utility bill for 3 months in a row. Not to mention being able to tell Siri to warm up my house without getting out of bed is great.
