This product is easy and user friendly to install. The best function is the sensor(s) which help keep the house more even. I have just recently added (2) mor sensors to my ecobee.

This device has made my home comfortabe and me happy. After the initial set up I rarely have to do anything. Works as described and super simple set up. Looks goid to boot!

I never owned a smart thermostat before but this is amazing. It took some trouble setting up since we had to run a new wire from the furnace but after that this works like a charm.

I had the Nest for a couple weeks and found out it was missing some key features. It was missing aux heat mode for heat pump. Ecobee has no trouble with this configuration. Even a cheap $40 thermostat can handle that. Run time data was also only collected for 10 days on nest. The Ecobee can collect 15 month worth of data. Also had an issue with nest running aux heat when it should not have. Ecobee is fully configurable. Also the remote sensors work well. I like the fan only mode that runs so many minutes every hour. Only minor complaints: APP is kind of slow and cant change home screen on thermostat. The rest is perfect.

Relatively easy installation, much easier if you have a C wire. Still, the tutorials in the app are great and the setup once you have everything plugged in is the easiest ever.

This along with the room sensors work great in homes that don't heat/cool evenly. It allows you to base your unit off the temperature of a particular room. For instance your kids room or your bedroom. Also allows you to set a schedule for home, away and sleep and set separate temp settings for each option.

I really like the remote sensers. They sense when you our in the room and adjust the temp. I have gone through both heating and cooling and my house is always comfortable.

Exceeds my expectations with the ease to install myself and it's many options and features. We don't have a "C wire" for our furnace and the Ecobee3 has that covered, love it!

I don't know much about smart thermostats, but this one offers the sensors you can put anywhere in the house. Easy install, easy setup, easy to program. Easy to use app.

I installed two of these units as I have a dual zone thermostat. I am very pleased with the ease of set up and the remote functionality especially the included sensor.

Easy to install and great way to manage your HEAT/AC. Smart app for Android was in the Playstore and I use it all the time from work. No need to be on your home wifi to access it.

I got this to go with my Smartthings hub, and it has been perfect. It looks better than the nest and it has worked perfectly with my system. Couldn't ask for a better unit.

Not only did the Ecobee save me a lot of money on my monthly power bill, but it's also super cool. I can change the temperature at my loft using Siri. Major cool points.

The installation was very simple, I had it up and running in a matter of minutes, The Instructions included were very helpful in pushing the correct wires into the correct Pins on the Ecobee3. Ecobee also offers great customer support that can assist you. The Ecobee3 is very feature rich, thus it can be a little over whelming if you want to fine tune your HVAC system for maximum savings. This took a bit of trial and error to get my settings correct for my home. I really like the included sensor that connects to the ecobee3 to allow it to sense temperature and occupancy if your thermostat is in a place away from common areas of you home like mine. That way when it sensor reads temperature in your living room it can kick on HVAC to reach that comfort level as opposed to only reading ambient temperature right at the thermostat in the hall way. However since then I have had zero issues with the thermostat, It saves money on my electricity bill and and I enjoy the ability to access my settings via my mobile device.

Ecobee is a great thermostat to manage your HVAC system. I Ordered multiple sensors and there's no connection issues. I had this now for 30 days. More updates to come.

I purchased this item to allow remote access to make sure my pipes were not freezing while I was basking in sunlight far to the south. It was easy to install and use. B

I was about to get a Nest, when I found about Ecobee. And it works as advertised. The additional sensor helps in figuring out the real temp in my 2 story apartment. The scheduling works perfect and is very easy to setup. The only drawback is that it requires an extra cable that not always is available, so we had to get someone to install it on order to set the the missing '"common" cable. Also, we have iOs and a Apple TV, and the Apple Homekit features works perfect. Super happy with my choice. My wife was not conviced with expending so much on a thermostat, but became a fan almost immediately. And we are saving electricity.

I was hoping for a clean integration with Smartthings and this has exceeded my expectations. The room sensors really set this thing apart. Easy to install as well.

Bottom Line: The ecobee3 improves upon the Nest in almost every way, but the Nest wins in design and simplicity. Pros: always on large screen provides controls, temperature, and weather at a glance. Software provides more data (charts of outside weather, inside temperature, runtime of system) than Nest. Remote sensors do a better job of managing temperature than Nest. Cons: Additional sensors are expensive. Nest minimalist design is less obtrusive than ecobee3. Note: I own a Nest (2nd gen.), which is connected to our furnace. I just purchased the ecobee3 to replace the thermostat connected to our central AC.

I am really satisfied with this product as it does a really good job at maintaining the temperature. The sensor wotrks awesome and easy to control bedroom temperature.
