After researching several smart thermostat brands this one was the best value when you include all the rebates. Takes saving energy on heating and cooling your home to a whole new level. The usage reports on iPad app are great for monitoring long term usage. Very pleased with purchase.

I've owned 2 other smart thermostats. This is by far the most advanced. Having the additional sensor really makes a difference when your thermostat is in the living room that isn't used all day. I get great every savings

Easy setup and it has the converter if you don't have a common c to supply power, which I didn't. Had the converter and thermostat up and running within half an hour. Had about a month now and would recommend above any other smart thermostat as the additional sensors are an awesome feature

Wanted a more modern integration with Homekit and room sensors, but the connection from our Lennox iComfort system was not compatible. Further research showed that it may actually have been less efficient to move to the Ecobee as it does not support multi-stage/variable speed furnaces. Returned and now stuck with very flaky wifi on the default Lennox thermostat, and a terrible iPhone app. Check for compatibility first, but easy return with Best Buy.

Ecobee was great to work with to help troubleshoot installing this with our specific system. Once installed it turned out ours had a bad computer. Ecobee informed us to return to store or to them. We returned at the store as we just purchased. So far the replacement works as it's supposed to. I am constantly changing the temp on the app and it's great to be able to turn it up or down when I'm not even home and have it the desired temp for when I return.

I was torn between the Ecobee 3 and Nest. After much research landed on the Ecobee 3. The decision maker was the extra sensors that you could put throughout the house. Love it so far. Temp in the house seems to be more true than the cheap thermostat i had before through Xfinity.

I jumped from Nest thermostat to EcoBee 3 and I could not be more happy with my decision. It is easy to install, very nice and detailed installation guide. The unit integrate nice with my Alexa and Siri and Smarthings. The extra sensor and follow me options is excelent

It works quite well. My house has several rooms with sometimes large variations in temperature so the remote sensors are quite nice and easy to use. It required some light modification to mount, since it wouldn't mount directly to the junction box from the old thermostat.

My main reason to purchase this thermostat over nest was that it has sensors which can be placed in multiple rooms and the house temperature is set based on average. However, I give it 4 stars because two reasons 1. The installation was not as simple as displayed in demos 2. GeoFence and Home/Away settings are malfunctioning for me. I am trying to figure out what's wrong. But overall additional features only make it more complicated.

Easy set up and easy to use. Haven't had it that long so we will see how efficient it makes my system.

After investigated all smart thermostats, i chose ecobee. One big thing is it included the adapter for 4 to 5 wires where the other name brand not. Customer service was excellent, i had to call for small issue and she ended up walking me through the whole process.

Had the best for a about 2 years. Read about the ecobee and found it to be more user friendly. As it can track you in your house. With he nest if you don't pass by it in a certain amount of time it thinks your away.

I must say that I did a lot of research before deciding on the Ecobee over the nest. Both thermostats do very similar temperature control, but the ecobee just has a few more features like dual zone climate control and now it is apple HomeKit ready. Sold it for me.

easy to set up, works great with echo dot. Same features if not more than a nest at a lower price

The nest may look fancier and prettier, but this blows it out of the water. Being able to only account for temperatures in rooms in which people are in is a great feature. Does everything the nest can do and more. Sensors are pricey but will save money in the long run.

This is my 3rd smart thermostat and the best one yet. Really works well with the remote sensor and turns the heat down when no one is home. I also really like how it gives me a monthly view to see how efficient my home is and compares it to other homes in the area.

I researched the many available smart thermostats before deciding on the ecobee3. I have an older, not-so-energy-efficient home, and the multi-room sensors work great to keep all floors and rooms at an appropriate temperature. I plan to add more sensors for added accuracy.

Excellent for lowering power bill. I prefer this over the Nest thermostat because it doesn't "learn" your pattern. My family occasionally changes settings frequently which causes a shift in the learning pattern. With the Ecobee,I simply set the temperatures and it communicates with the remote sensors (I have five) for a perfect average across the house.

unable to give a complete review at the moment as the temperature hasnt been changing enough to have it work its magic. however, user interface is very easyeasy and the app is identical to the thermostat. it has even more features when you log in online. only issue i had was getting the sensors to detect if and when i was home or away but that seems to have resolved itself. will update review in a month or 2 when i can put it to full uae

This was a great price on a smart thermostat. I used VISA checkout to get additional savings. On my heater/cooling unit, I needed to spend time and effort to re-wire on the unit in my garage to get the ecobee3 working. In the end, it was worth the effort though.
