The ecobee is easy to use. I also love being able to change my temperature from anywhere.

This thermostat is easy to install and works great. Very easy to set up wifi connection also.

I am very happy with the Ecobee3. I have two installed, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The installation was extremely simple and have installed 4 additional sensors around the house. I have already noticed an improvement in the comfort levels of the additional rooms as well as decrease in my electricity usage. I also love the website where I can go view the statistics of my usage throughout the day.

This is the thermostat to get if you are looking to have a smart home. This brings control to your home that can not be matched by any other device at this point in time.

I used this to combat cold rooms on the far end of my house. It has done a great job of increasing comfort in those rooms, as well as improving the efficiency of my home.

I went back and forth between this and the Nest and ended up going with the Ecobee because of the sensors. I have a small house and it is only 1 zone. So the front tends to be much warmer than the rest. The sensors are great to help me try to balance the heating around the house. And in the summer with the air conditioners I can keep an eye on things as well. Super easy to install as well.

Everything about this thermostat is great from the ability to control it on your phone to the ability to have your heat controlled in the bedroom that you're sleeping at night. My favorite part of this thermostat is being able to see my monthly savings and running times of my furnace and HVAC system and compare it to those in my neighborhood to tell me how much I'm saving compared to my neighbors

The Ecobee allows you to see the exact usage of your hvac, which is a great tool to understand exactly how you're using it.

My first "Smart home" device, and it works great. No need for a hub. Love the extra sensor, and ability to access it from my mobile phone, although it is mostly in a set it and forget it mode. The ipad app even gives you extra charts and analytics. I wish that was available on the iphone app too. At the $199 discounted price, this is the way to go if you are looking for a smart thermostat.

I am far from a DIY'er and hesitated trying to change the thermostat in my home by myself. I finally decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised on how simple it was to install. I did need to call the Ecobee support line due to a wiring issue from my previous thermostat. The Ecobee tech was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew immediately what the wiring issue was and prescribed the solution. Everything went together quickly. Configuring the thermostat couldn't have been easier due to the simple prompts once the thermostat is powered up. Even connecting the remote sensors (I purchased 2 extra sensors besides the one in the box) was a breeze. As a side note, the next day I received an email from Ecobee stating that two of the sensors were not reporting unoccupied/occupied correctly. The email listed the serial numbers of the problem sensors and what to do to correct the problem. I corrected the issue in less than 5 minutes. As far as operation, the thermostat and sensors work together to maintain a comfortable temperature. I like the feature that senses when the house is empty and turns the temperature setting down to conserve resources. As an added bonus, I found on the Ecobee web site that I could go to www.ifttt.com and configure all types of notifications to be sent to my cell phone based on various triggers from the thermostat. I'm looking forward to a more comfortable home and more efficient heating/cooling because of the Ecobee 3.

This is such a great thermostat. I did a ton of research on what was out there, this blows nest and honeywell out of the water. I'm getting more as christmas presents!

I upgraded to Ecobee from Nest. Our main level Nest kept going into away mode because it was down the guest room hallway. I absolutely love the remote sensor feature of the Ecobee. Now I have a remote sensor in our main room and it only goes into away mode when we're actually away. The sensors also help keep the temperature more even on our upstairs level. Overall extremely happy with the Ecobee.

The price to useful feature on the EcoBee thermostat blows away the competition. Extra sensors, remote control, historical data gathering the list goes on and on.

I've had the ecebee3 for about a month now. We had a manual thermostat prior to this one. The convenience of scheduled settings and auto heat/cool modes really makes life easier. What makes the ecobee3 a great investment is how easily it was installed. With the guided help in the app it was a breeze. It is also nice to see their commitment to improving smart home technology.

I've had my Ecobee3 for about 3 months now. I wish I had bought it months earlier. I love the remote sensors. The comfort level in my home is so much better than before. I absolutely love the HomeKit integration. I tell Siri goodnight and the temperature goes down. Absolutely love it!!

There is no comparison when it comes to quality, design, usability, and support. The sensors are perfect and the people can't be beat. Love this product

If you have hot or cold spots in your house then the ecobee3 is the answer. The sensors allow me to heat/cool the room I'm using to the correct temp. When paired with space heaters or fans this allows the main HVAC unit to run less. I've saved an average of 20% on my monthly heating cost since installing. Installation was straightforward with existing C wire.

I have a large house and multiple HVAC systems. My rooms get very very unbalanced. FINALLY! Someone made a product with all the features I need. The only real problem is I need 3 units (almost 800$ worth of equipment). I consider this an investment. I can now go online and monitor the behavior of my home. I know what the temp is in each room where I have a sensor now and how long the units have run (effectively I now also know my effectiveness of my units, how long they need to run to increase or decrease the a certain amount of temperature). As bonus features, I can see the weather on the unit. I can see the weather historically and compare that to my units demand (can help identify which rooms loose or gain heat faster, ie need better insulation etc). The only thing I miss from my old thermostat is the time. There was no digital clock on this unit that I could find to display. Sure it has the time once you click the unit, but time is not displayed to see from across the room. Such a silly thing, but I was used to looking where my old unit was. One other issue, the first time you install it, the app walks you through exactly how to install it. But if you buy a second unit, I could not figure out how to get the app to do that same walk through again.

I tried both : the Honeywell Lyric and the Nest. I returned both and now I have two Ecobee3s. This is the best thing that happened to my house!
