Very easy to install and set up. I like being able to access the system remotely via an app or from the Ecobee website. I was also pleasently surprised to see that Columbia gas offers a $75 rebate for installing a smart thermostat. I found that out about 2 weeks after my purchase and will be applying for the rebate. I suggest that the Best Buy associates learn about those rebates and use them as a selling point.

This was the first time I ever installed a thermostat and the instructions included were a breeze to follow. I put this one in the master bedroom and I do need to add another to the main floor of the house before I can comment on any savings seen. The app is easy to use as is the settings screen on the thermostat itself. It also adds a nice look to the wall versus your standard run of the mill thermostat.

Like most homes, our thermostat is in the hallway. This causes the most used room in the house (living room) to be hotter/colder than the hallway. Enter Ecobee. I like the fact that I can set up the senor and have it in the living room reading temps vs. in the hallway. This was installed in about 30 mins and that included setting up an account online and linking it to my wireless network. There are several functions that we don't use, but are nice to have available. Our electric bill compares what we paid last year to this year and the weather was similar and the difference has almost paid for the ecobee in just the last 3 months.

I have been looking at various smart thermostats for several months. This one was easy to install and provided more options than most. I'm already very satisfied with this EcoBee.

I bought this for a beach house so I could monitor and change the setting remotely. It works like a charm. It eases the stress of knowing what the conditions are in the house.

I don't know how I could have managed to live without it! I've been struggling to keep the temperature at a comfortable level because it's either too hot or cold - winter with heat and summer with A/C... Since we have installed it yesterday, I can't complain about the temperature anymore! It's just right! If I need to make any changes, it's easy to operate and it responds right away! Excellent purchase!

I had been looking at Nest and Honeywell. I liked the Ecobee without Amazon. I wanted the device to work with iOS and Apple. Works great. The one additional sensor is in the master bedroom. It is interesting to see the 5 degree difference between the two rooms (2nd story master). I find that the A/C rounds more frequently but the temperature is always within a degree or two. The minor downside was the product recall the day after I installed it. Ecobee asked me to fix the device myself to save the environment. Maybe a $5 discount on additional sensors for me doing the work?! It wasn't difficult to fix just annoying. Very nice product.

I've purchased two of these thermostats, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and I really love them! They work as advertised and definitely recommend this product.

The thermostat works great. I like that you can add more sensors to keep the whole house at the desired temperature consistently. You can use them to set temperatures based on the room where you are. It shows the usage history graphically on the web page. The possibility to set the temperature on the phone before getting to the house, out of the normal schedule, is also a great feature.

Needed to replace a rather worn, manual thermostat so after comparing the specs of the Ecobee3 with the Nest thermostat I easily decided on the Ecobee. The functionality is outstanding and that I can control it or just check on my HVAC system from anywhere via my iPhone/iPad was a major plus. I have it integrated with my Amazon Echo so I can command a change in room temperature easily.

This thermostat is great looking, works awesome and easy to manage. Registration was easy. Thermostat takes a while to get use to the settings but overall easy to navigate. It's great to have your home cold when you get home or if you forget to change the temperature you can easily change it from your phone. I haven't gotten my first bill yet but I will post again if electricity was lower.

We have enjoyed the Ecobee. Works as advertised. The app is nice and it is easy to set schedules for operation. I wish it came with more than one room sensor.

We bought this last year from Best Buy, and I LOVE it !! You can program it if you want, or use it manual......If you forget to put it up or down, you can do it from your phone when you're not home. I used this feature more than once !!! Sometimes, when we watch TV, we change the temperature without getting up from our phone...... love love it !

I bought two of the Ecobee 3 thermostats for a two zone system. Installation was easy, and they work great! I really like the idea of the motion sensors to detect if anyone is home, so the "home"/"away" status can be adjusted automatically. The Android app also works very well. It's also a great convenience to have the local weather available on the device.

I bought this hoping to integrate it with HomeKit, I've since found out that in that category there is much to be desired. It took me almost a week before I could finally get ecobee and HomeKit to play nice and once I did it rarely stays connected and constantly says my ecobee is offline. My Amazon echo dot paired just fine and has never had an issue so I fault Apple for this. Outside of those issues the ecobee has been great. It alerted me when my furnace had an issue last month and the remote sensors have done a great job of keeping the temperature in my house more balanced!

I love how I can control it from my iPhone and iPad. It also works great with my Amazon Echo dot. It was very easy to install. My C wire was there but it was not hooked up to the control board because my old thermostat did not need it, so I had to extend the wire a bit and connected it to the control board so that I would not have to use the supplied adapter.

easy to install, like that you can add multiple sensors, app is easy to use to control & program thermostat, looks modern, great deal with current ComEd rebate, works great for older heating units without the c-wire because it comes with an adapter for older units

This thing is awesome, lets you control the temperature based on where you are. Our house does have some differences in temperature between our master bedroom and the kitchen and this definitely helped cool it down. Only downside for us is our pups sleep in the kitchen and it made it a little too cold for them. NOT ecobee's fault. Make sure you pair it with IFTT to make the most out of it, I have it set to turn on and off based on outside temperature and even have a geofence for when both me and the wife go to work. In summary the ecobee and the nest are pretty much the same thing, except with the sensors the ecobee will average the temperature throughout the house to make sure every room is fairly comfortable based on occupancy. Something the NEST cannot do. Also don't worry about the learning feature the NEST has, its only worth is if you constantly adjust the thermostat everyday at the beginning but thats what a schedule is for.

Purchased Ecobee3 several weeks ago. Easy install and excellent telephone support by customer service (prior to purchase) and tech support during install (just to double check wiring transfer from old thermostat). Ecobee3 has performed as advertised. The mobile and computer-based apps make setting up performance parameters fairly easy. The Ecobee3 has sufficient flexibility to ensure proper operation of your a/c system (e.g. swing settings, fan control). This product replaced a brand new top-of-the-line Honeywell thermostat that had a nice user interface, but did not provide programmable ability for the swing setting, and which cycled my a/c system several times an hour (it was operating properly and as designed by Honeywell, as verified with Honeywell tech support multiple times). Cannot see the need to cycle a new a/c system that many times per hour. The Ecobee3 works properly and incorporates what I consider to be the proper design parameters. Temperature and system control is accurate. This product provides sufficient control and programmability, but also can be set to function like a more traditional style thermostat. Well done Ecobee! Highly recommended.

Works great and looks awesome! I installed two thermostats as I have a dual-zone system; installed both sensors on the Upstairs thermostat on different rooms to control the average temperature and to have the Upstairs thermostat change to Away-mode when we are Downstairs; installation is so easy and works really well with Apple Homekit.
