Works even better than I expected.I'd give it 5.5 stars if I could! I have installed two of them with absolutely no problem. After setup I turned the systems back on and control worked flawlessly. The user interface for setting up scheduling intuitive and just works. Make sure to watch the installation videos first.

Installation went quick and easy. 5 minutes Easy to setup online. I installed in my 2,900sqft split level house. Placed the second sensor in the basement living area. Since installation, the house has been very comfortable and even temp between floors. This is well worth the price with the rebate from energy company.

Had heater issue already so I decided to invest in this device. I made sure the technician knew of my intention so that the wiring was compatible in the attic. I installed the Ecobee unit myself while the technician was in the attic. The set up fairly simple. I really enjoy the ability to adjust the temperature on my iPhone.

Easy to install and works as advertised. Though, I did have to open my furnace to install the PEK that comes with the thermostat.

Great product. I have noticed my hvac on much less. I also purchased 2 additional sensors and the temp in my entire home is consistent at all times. VERY simple to set up and use. The sensors were the leg up that supplement the device, and were the advantage over the main competitor, NEST. Highly recommend this product!

So far so good. It has done all as advertised. Pretty easy to use. The only thing I can't tell yet is if it is saving me any money on my bills.

I have the ecobee thermostats for our upstairs and downstairs units. I looked at Nest as well but I chose this product because you could add more remote sensors in individual rooms. Ecobee also works really well with Amazon echo, just ask Alexa to set the temperature to whatever you want and it's done. I also use the app to control temp and schedules. There is a feature that will switch to "away" if it doesn't detect anyone is home. No sense in heating or cooling an empty house. I have heard it has a geofencing option but I have not used that yet. The installation was very easy and everything was spelled out for different HVAC unit types. I would definitely recommend this thermostat to anyone looking to upgrade.

The installation is very well guided by the mobile app from ecobee: every single step is well explained and detailed. The package comes with stickers for marking your existing wiring before removing them from the old thermostat. I had a c-wire, so I can't talk about the workaround (which is a small extra piece that comes with the package. Set-up, registration of an ecobee account worked also well. Altogether, if you don't rush, it can be up and running in an hour. When installing the wires into the ecobee make sure they are inserted deep into the holder -- I had one wire initially not inserted deep enough to get contact and during the set-up (which is an interview style app which runs directly on the ecobee display) the ecobee warned me that one wire was not installed and if that happens you should take the ecobee front off again and check all wiring, then reconnect the ecobee and see if the wires are all recognized which means they are correctly installed. The product looks just great at the wall and worked so far perfect ( I have it for a month now).

Google Nest might be more popular right now, but the Ecobee3 has all the same features as the Nest and more! Compatible with almost every standard home wiring unit, the Ecobee3 is the only smart thermostat that came with everything I needed right out of the box. The main reason we chose this device was the included remote sensor so we could help balance the thermostat on our multi-floor house.

This was a very simple install. If you can match colors tgen you can install this. It took more time to read the instructions and the youtube video than it took me to install. When i thought i was stuck the customer service was able to assist me and everything works flowlessly. Better than the others for what they offer.

A great thermostat if you want to have it monitor whether you're home or not and to stay connected to it via wifi and your phone, etc. I bought it to have remote sensors in other rooms, but ended up returning it after finding that honeywell had a system that better met my needs and for less money. But this is definitely a nice system...and looks pretty cool on the wall too. Good interface, easy setup, but could have a few more options with respect to the remote sensors and control. And at $250, kinda spendy.

Easy to install, easy to use, looks nice on the wall. Smart algorithm works well for running minimal amount of time.

I needed to split a heating zone into two heating zones. When deciding on a thermostat I wanted something with wifi that could control an oil fired boiler and a central air unit. This thermostat is exactly what I was looking for. I'm very happy with the purchase and I would recommend this to others.

To start, I considered and really wanted to go with Nest, but my thermostat is in an unused room, so it's sensor capabilities would not have worked at all. I read about the ecobee and liked to remote sensor concept as it fit my house layout much better. First, it can get expensive with multiple sensors, but you don't have to use them if you can leverage the 2 that are included (1 in thermostat and 1 extra). Getting the sensors positioned well can be a little tricky so that it properly senses temp and occupancy. HomeKit integration has potential, but it requires turning off some of the smart features, so I haven't done it yet. I've only had it for a month and am still getting the hang of it, but the app and Today screen widget are well done and responsive.

It connects perfectly through my phone, easy to install, and has many features to facilitate AC Unit maintenance and filter reminders. It also has many personalization features for cool/heat comfort zones. I would recommend this to anyone who wants climate control from anywhere in or away from home.

sensors sometimes lose connection but otherwise excellent thermostat. easy to install and use. app works great.

Overall am very happy with the product. Purchased this model because of the remote temp sensors. The remote sensors work well as long as they are within range. Overall programming and operation is pretty user friend.

Very nice thermostat. Easy to use and like being able to control it from the app on my phone when I'm not home.

The installation went very smoothly, except for having to install the common wire in the HVAC system - which in my case meant climbing up into the attic. The installation was very straight forward, and the instructions were very clear. The unit functions well and meets all expectations.
