I love my new thermostat!! I love being able to change the temperature at my house whenever I am running late or going home earlier than usual.

Love the apple homekit requires Apple TV to work but I love to be able to access it from anywhere on any smart device great product

Love this thermostat, but the sensor can use some improvement. Hopefully they come up with an update path for Apple homekit soon.

This product has more features than the traditional thermostat including wifi and alarms for over or under temp and auto setting.

Love this item. Saving money and energy already. Very nice display and covers up existing wall opening so no need to paint.

Been very happy with the EcoBee3. Very user friendly and easy to set up. Wife is happy so I'm happy.

Purchased 2 thermostats and 4 additional sensors about 6 months ago. Dealt with several bugs and months of firmware upgrades until it was finally working acceptably. Took several months during which I felt like I was beta testing this device. The updates are incredibly primitive for this day and age....the thermostat will not auto update to the most recent firmware as with the 2 nests that I had previously owned. You have to request the update by email, or patiently wait your turn as they update your thermostat in a specific order group. They then manually push the update to your thermostat. It can take months for them to update yours unless you email them directly. After several months, stats finally seem to be almost working the way they should have from the start (except for the temp inaccuracy which still persists). I then find out they have a new version (same name, but apple homekit compatible). Seriously?? They did offer an upgrade to the new stat for us early adopters/"beta-testers" for $189 each thermostat. To ecobee...your recent success is the result of early adopters and our constant feedback for improvements/fixes. We positively rated your stat despite the many bugs experienced in the beginning (bugs that you are aware of ) because of the ecobee3's potential. Now you expect us to purchase another device after an updated stat less than a year after its release?

Thermostat has been great. App has been pretty horrible. Constantly log out and have to put password back in. 50 50 on recommending this product now

I love the remote access features and the remote sensor capabilities. Have seen slight savings on my electricity. Interested to see how the savings add up over the summer months.

great device, but for an inexperienced homeowner it would be a challenge configuring all the settings and wiring, definitely research existing unit to verify compatibility.

I like the sensors it provides and gives more accuracy of how you want your house temperature to be regulated.

Ecobee 3 changes the way you control heating and cooling. Via sensors, Ecobee can see when a room is in use and adjust the temperature to keep you comfortable. The Ecobee will report data that you can see in an easy to use website which tells you why and how it’s keeping you comfortable. Ecobee can be controlled via laptop, computer, phone (Android App & iPhone App), or just about any other web capable device. Ecobee’s sensors provide the Ecobee3 with data about different rooms allowing Ecobee3 to blend comfort and economy. My thermostat is in a hallway between bedrooms and is in a location where we transition frequently, but rarely spend time. Knowing and keeping the temperature in the hallway is of little use. I added two additional sensors, in addition to the one that comes with Ecobee3, and keep these sensors in rooms that are most occupied. The Ecobee system is smart enough that I can “turn off” occupancy and temperature in the hall (where the Ecobee is located) and rely upon the status of the three rooms with sensors. If we are in one room Ecobee3 keep that room at our ideal comfort. If we are occupying more than one room, Ecobee3 blends the conditions by efficiently operating the heating, cooling, fan, and humidifier. Ecobee is product that is evolving due the effort of improving and adding features. Frequent updates keep adding more value thru improving its capabilities and features. Ecobee actively seeks out the opinions of its customer’s thoughts and responds by improving Ecobee3 and integrating new features. Ecobee operates with the IFTTT service so Ecobee knows when your home & away, can control other devices, record data, notify, and many other capabilities via IFTTT recipes. Ecobee has an easy to use interface with a quality display, interaction, and feel.
