I had a Honeywell at my old house and it was great, but the built in alexa functionality along with the room sensor make this amazing. I do miss being able to change the screen colors, but the design is sleek and it works just as well.

Upgraded my Ecobee3 to get alexa support and very happy with the purchase. Being able to connect it to control settings with voice is very nice. Works well with my other voice controlled things in my house.

I love this thermostat. Seriously, it works perfectly and I am in control of the temp in my house. I know what the temp is upstairs and downstairs AND is syncs to my smart home. This is a great product.

Easy installation and setup, really like the ability to review and control the temp while traveling. Temperature can automatically adjust as you near home and Alexa is a great addition

Best thermostat ever. Still going strong after a year and a half. Love the ability to remotely change the temp remotely. Scheduling is intuitive. Installation was quick and easy.

i bought this for a friend of mine for his house warming party. Ecobee is worth it in my opinion. I have mine for over a year and i have noticed on my electric bill comparing to last months bill to the same current months bill and there was a 16% savings. So thru out a year it pays itself off and more.

Easy to use system. Very handy to control ac anytime/anywhere. Self install wasn't too bad either. Just don't believe the instructions when it says 10-30 minute install. It could take way longer.

So my parents have nest and to toggle between functions and settings got to me. Went with Ecobee 4's and now but I use them for commercial applications as well. In total I have purchased two for my home and six for my stores, including Ecobee 4 pro (needs commercial installer and comes with 5 year warranty vs 3, but no different otherwise). What makes it great is the ease, but also the remote sensors! Not sure if I'm a fan of Alexa to be honest. I've had them set, but than reset the thermostats to disable the feature. Not worth it as it's easier to use the app or go to the thermostat and change it physically.

Have a "C" wire so installation was so simple. A little tricky clicking unit onto mount, not much clearance for wiring behind unit. Alexa works just like the echo or dot. Much better than expected speaker plays decent volume and sound quality for music. Lock out controls stop unwanted changes by children who don't understand the cost of utility bills. Good features like air circulation for a set period every hour just to circulate air when AC or heat has not been called for. Room sensor helps with detecting when people are "home" or "away" during daily schedule program. Geo fencing is a nice feature to wake system when close to home if you are returning earlier than program expects.

Very easy to install and set up with Alexa. Works very well! Red wire was joined on previous thermostat for AC and heat to work. Had to separate wire to plug into R1/R2.

Read reviews on it and it seems to be a great product. The furnace company who was going to install for us said he didnt think it would work because we have a humidifier connected to the furnace and he said we wouldn't be able to control the humidifier part of furnace with this particular device.

Very easy to hook up and works with all kinds of furnace switch boards. Syncing with Alexa was also very easy, You can also set the thermostat anywhere with your smart phone

So far, so good! Installation was easy for someone with some general know how. The interface took a little getting used to, but overall its easy to navigate. A few cons: One morning I turned on the fan to run (no heating or cooling) to help circulate some air in our house. Well, I forgot and went off to work. Several hours later I remembered and checked the app. Sure enough the system was still running. Would be nice to have an automatic shut off on this feature, as I would think its not very wise to keep your blower motor running for that long. Other than that its been great.

Ecobee is great because of the remote sensors. Add them to each room to monitor your house. The biggest issue is the always on Alexa. If you disable it, it shows a bright red light on the unit. Big frustration there, you shouldn't have to add electrical tape to your $200 thermostat.

These things work great and have Alexa built in. Now I know the temp in and out and can set everything from anywhere, even tell Alexa to change the temp. only issue I have is that the speaker for Alexa isn't all that great which isn't a huge deal, it's more of a reverberation off the wall because of the speaker placement. Second issue is there is no blue tooth built in. I bought these so that I could have upstairs and then hook up to stereo, etc... to use Amazon music, etc... then I found out no bluetooth so killed that idea. These issues are not a huge deal, just would have been nice but they work great beyond that.

This thermostat is better than those around $150 or less but don't know if I can recommend at $250. It is somewhat complicated. The extra sensor is the best thing about it for me. I have the thermostat read off the sensor in the bedroom at night so our room doesn't get so hot while asleep. If you can catch on sale for $200 or less would be ideal.

This is an incredible product and my first time use of a smart thermostat. I procrastinated the install because I didn't want to chance it not working when it's hot outside. Installation was easy and went very quickly. The big surprise was Ecobee setting up itself. All I entered were the desired temps and Ecobee did the rest. We also purchased additional room sensors and set them up as well. I was impressed that in less than thirty minutes every room was equally cool. Even areas that were warm before. I'm incredibly impressed with the technology and efficiency of this little guy. Highly recommended.

Not too difficult to install. Easy to set up, and I can control my ecobee away from home. Its cut down the length of time my A/C unit runs by quite a bit too. Great product.

i love this, i thought of nest but the best edge here, is the extra sensor that you put in any other room, it talks with your thermostat. i had a problem, my thermostat is put in the hallway, where there is no AC, so i put the sensor in the room to speak to the thermostat.
