Even thought I ended up returning the device and ended up getting a Nest thermostat instead, I need to agree that it is a great thermostat. The only thing that I didn't like about it is the fact that it is not a learning thermostat, so you'll need to adjust the temperature schedule manually. Other than that, the fact that it comes with an extra motion and temperature sensor makes a huge difference. This is something that the Nest definitely doesn't have. Alexa integration, although not the best, it is pretty reliable. Some features (calling, messages etc.) are not compatible with this version of Alexa.

I had been in the market for a smart thermostat since we moved to our new home. We had a Nest at our previous home that I loved. But having just purchased some Echo equipment and with the recommendation from some friends, I went with the EcoBee instead of the Nest. I am glad I did. I LOVE THE ALEXA INTEGRATION. It makes it so easy to make adjustments to the temperature without walking to the thermostat or needing my phone. I also LOVE THE REMOTE SENSOR. Which helps ensure that my bedroom stays the right temperature at night. So far I am impressed with this device. Now hoping that it actually saves me money too...

This is probaly by far the top of the line smart thermostats when it comes to home automation. The simplicity of setup all the way to controlling the Ecobee 4 from your phone is just wonderful. And this product will save you money on your heating/cooling bills no doubt!

My furnace is a bit older. Setting this up took a little longer than expected as the wiring didn't match the instructions. Took a picture, sent it to ecobee support in a chat, and the rep had instructions to me in about 10 minutes. Great customer service! On a Sunday at 4pm nonetheless! The device works well. Love the ability to turn on the fan at selected amounts each hour. The built-in Alexa is also nice. Highly recommend!

Wanted to get started with IOT and started with a thermostat. Moderately easy to install, functions great. I'm able to manage the temp in the second floor of my home without having to climb stairs.

It does exactly what we were looking for, allowing temp control factoring various rooms via remote sensors. The Alexa integration is a bonus, and a nice extra feature, especially once the Sonos voice control is enabled.

Killer features that we just absolutely love - 1. No electrical background and yet we got it installed within a hour or so. 2. Remote room sensors and the ability to select which ones drive the thermostat at what time. 3. The website analytics - wish they were accessible within the mobile app. Not a huge fan of 1. the auto occupancy sensor. But that’s easily turned off. 2. Sometimes mobile app opens and doesn’t show connection to my ecobee. Closing and reopening the app fixes this for the most part. 3. Alexa integration - we’ve just turned it off.

Love this thermostat! Easy to use, doesn’t lose connectivity. The ecobee app is extremely user-friendly as well

Had some issue with scheduling delivery (scheduled, then was called stating it needed to be rescheduled--meanwhile we were without a means for doing laundry). The unit was delivered and easy to hook up. The back access panel and part of white housing were dented in (was able to pop out mostly). Has been washing clothes since.

installed over a year ago, was a quick and easy install, had a few questions and the EcoBee Customer Service was great.... easy to use, we love it!

Easy to install and connect. Works great and with the addition to Alexa you can get info, play music ect. Easy to use with Iphone and look forward to saving money.

I really like the two ecobees we have in our house. They're smart and super easy to use. They do a nice job of keeping the house comfortable.

my ecobee helps me keep my comfort level (the ability to decide which room to use as the set point) ecobee also helps me save money by setting back when I am not home the reporting helps you identify problems with systems before it gets out of han.

Easy to install I love the extra senser I have in on my 2nd floor I always had trouble in the past with the temp up there but now it’s perfect

This is my first smart home (appliance). It is great the flexibility it gives to you to change and switch the temperature. We have a 2 stories house so it is great when we wake up on our day off and want to change the temperature from the bed it is so convenient. Also when we are out of home for work all day and the temperature changes during the day we can change from our phones and make sure that our dogs (or guests) are in à comfortable temperature. Also cones with Alexa built in, so you can have your xmas music while you cooking.

Easy to set up and works great. The only thing I don’t like is I can’t wet it to turn on when I get home. My door lock opens when I get close to my door and I would like the ac to kick on too.

I like the Ecobee 4 but after having a Nest 2nd gen, I returned the ecobee 4 for the latest Nest. I replaced a nest 2gen and tried out the ecobee 4 for a week. The room sensors are great, but the ecobee is not a learning theremstat and the Nest is. Also the Alexa ability of the ecobee proved to be more annoying then helpful. I would talk to Alexa in one room with Echo and the ecobee would try and answer. Nest and ecobee 3 are both capable with Alexa. I would save money and just get the ecobee 3 if your not a Nest fan. For me the Nest works great as it adapts to our usage, after a while we never need to think about the thermostat because Nest knows. I will say ecobee is a great product, but didn't fit my needs.

Very easy to install and setup. The sensors are kinda pointless right now but the man unit is awesome. Alexa intigration works great too.

The installation was easier than I expected. We watched a couple of YouTube videos and it really was as simple as it looked. We like to set the temperature to 71 for sleeping but the. The house was cold when we got out of bed. Now we can set the Ecobee to raise it an hour before we get up and it works great! The usage reports showing what the temperature was for the prevoius day are a bonus!

This smart thermostat was easy to install and connect to Alexa and Google Home. The app is easy to use and make adjustments when away from home.
