Ecobee4 is exactly what I needed. I have always struggled keeping my rooms upstairs cool enough, but now with the room sensors that problem has been solved.

Easy to use and the built in Alexa makes it even better

Solid Thermostat. The wiring guide / website instructions weren't the best. I think it's pretty straight forward for most people, until you have a wire labeled "E". Luckily I was able to connect it to the W1 terminal, which I verified with one of my HVAC friends... Device has been pretty solid... Even though Alexa creeps me out by randomly coming on....

I REALLY like the ability to connect using my phone and change the settings remotely. I have since bought a 2nd unit for a 2nd location and likely will buy a 3rd unit. Easy to name each unit and different name on my phone and manage the temperature settings at various locations (shop, house, office).

Recommend this thermostat, it contain many feature, including alexa. But what i prefer is the availability of having a sensor to monito multiple rooms.

Overall I really like the Ecobee 4 thermostat. I especially like the ability to add on remote sensors, solving a long-standing issue in our house. At night we really needed the thermostat to control the bedroom temperature rather than the family room. In both the summer and winter, the upstairs bedrooms would get too hot in the middle of the night. Using programming that switches over to remote sensors in the bedrooms provides the solution. Now for the "strange programming": When a program change calls for a change in the active sensors, the Ecobee 4 makes a gradual change from the outgoing sensor(s) list to the new sensor list during the half hour before the actual program change. The heat supply to our bedrooms is less than the rest of the house to keep them cooler. The "sleep" program is set 6 degrees cooler than the "home" program. When the half hour change over period starts, the Ecobee 4 uses the 6 degree warmer "home" setting as it is changing over to the bedroom sensors with the result that it drives the temperature up in the entire house to uncomfortable levels and wastes energy. We found a workaround by programming a half hour long "change to sleep" comfort setting with the same sensors as the "home" program, but the temperature for the "sleep" program.

I really like this device. It’s easy to install and easy to use.

good interface and works well was easy to set up. extra sensors help t keep a more even temp in home. geofence only works good with one person so turn it off if there is 2 people that have it linked

Extremely easy to set up thanks to the excellent instructions (both printed and via the app). Great customer service - I called to double check a wire for my specific HVAC unit and they were quick to provide an answer. Slightly confused about how to use the fan setting (still not sure I’m using it correctly), and I don’t think the Alexa portion works as well as a stand-alone unit. That said, it’s a great replacement that I hope saves me some money.

Love that you can schedule when you usually leave so that the house will be cooler then schedule when you usually arrive so the heat will come on!

I came across this ECOBEE4 wifi thermostat and so far it functioning like it says and do. The set up was easy if you understand how to do it. when the electricity goes out and ECOBEE4 reboots sometimes ALEXA can't connect with her so you have to go back to ECOBEE4 settings and refresh the wifi connectivity. Other wise it is worth it we like it we don't have to get up anymore from our chair to set the temp just say ALEXA - turn up the temp to 80 done.

Works great as a thermostat i bought 2 one for upstairs and one for the main floor the room sensors need some work they are a little inacurate about 2 degrees off and alexa needs to be removed i talk to one and they both answer its anoying it also has very basic function not all capabilities like the echo dot but im very happy with them and the weather on the main screen is a plus has better functions than the nest you get more bang for your buck with the ecobee

Very user friendly and easy to self install. Easy to program

way better than the nest in terms of use and having the extra sensors in multiple rooms has been great for keeping the temps where we like them around the whole house. using it through apple homekit and havent had any issues. the bonus of having an additional alexa was nice too since this unit is away from our other alexa unit.

This product is perfect for multi system thermostat homes. The sensor allows true temperature readings from where ever you decide to place them.

1st time install of a smart home thermostat very easy instructions to follow. All the functions you could want geofence and other great futures.

We needed a new thermostat. Our upstairs is always significantly hotter than than the downstairs, especially our bedroom. We searched the crazy idea that you could have a 2nd sensor and found ecobee with a room sensor! So far so good! We are sleeping much cooler and I love that I can check it from my phone and adjust as needed!

The Ecobee4 is a good smart thermostat. It’s easy to program and the app works well. The installation documentation makes this a simple install. It even includes labels for the wires to make sure they get put in the right place. The room sensor works as advertised. I haven’t really used the Alexa functionality, so I can’t comment on that.

Its easy to set up and operate, the app is great too.
