I consider myself pretty savvy, but this installation did take some time. There was more mechanical installation (e.g. wiring, hooking up to the furnace) than I had expected. However, the interface and the installation manual walk you through it. USE THE MANUAL! The instructions on the apps were not consistent with what actually needed to be done. Also, we have an older furnace and it seems to either overheat or have some issue communicating. The heat kicks off and am not sure if was due to the schedule or just winter and having the heat running constantly. Overall, definitely recommend. Get it on sale because the price is high for the amount of use. Great functionality with schedules and settings. Probably be more useful on newer HVAC systems.

I love having Alexa change the temperature and also finding out what the outside temperature is and the forecast for the day! Ecobee works real well.

You can't beat this thermostat if you have the right heat pump for it. I tried the nest and and all three failed on me. No troubles with this ecobee!

Love the idea that it comes with a thermostat and sensor where you can put it throughout the house to get a better idea of the temps in different parts of the house. You can always purchase more sensors if you like but I didn’t find the need for this. Unfortunately my house wasn’t wired correctly from my old thermostat so luckily the kit comes with the power extender kit. If I would have purchased another smart thermostat I would have been forced to purchase that just to power it properly. Love my purchase.

Will pay for itself in no time. Highly recommended. Easy to install. Be careful of you have a dual stage furnace or variable speed blower fans.

This is great. Love how I can be in one room and can change the temperature to suit my need when I'm in another. Best investment.

Thermostat was easy to install and comes with a ton of options to customize how your house is cooled/heated. It can be controlled via the thermostat touch screen, ecobee app, or ecobee website which is convenient. Our house felt warmer at first (during the summer) but I think this was due to maybe a "more accurate" temperature reading. The smart sensor that comes included helps average out the temperature in different rooms of the house. Overall this has taken a little getting used to, but I like the convenience of controlling this from almost anywhere.

While the previous Ecobee was great, this thing hands down beats it. While you could save a fair chunk of change and get the 3 Lite or even the previous 4, this handles everything and then some - plus if you're an Amazon person, let Alexa take care of your temps for you. My partner prefers to set it with her voice, I just use Siri for automation. Integrated perfectly with Homekit Scenes, and the install and setup was almost flawless.

This is my ever first smart thermostat and I love it. It was hard to understand all its features first but luckily they upgraded the software pretty soon after I bought it. Now it looks nice. It also works with Alexa so I play songs and kids games to keep kids entertained.

Originally, Ecobee was not as good as Nest in terms of adjusting the program for economy. They have corrected that with emails asking to adjust the times based on your use. You have the option to accept it or reject it. Nice feature. I got this one for the Living Room since I don't have Alexa in there. The speaker is adequate, nothing special. Just remember that it needs power. If your system doesn't have a power line for the thermostat, you either have to get a Fast-Stat or separate transformer at the thermostat (exposed wire). My furnace could only handle 2 Fast-stats. I have 4 Ecobees, so had to run a transformer for 2 of them.

We decided to switch to a smart thermostat to attempt to lower our electric bill. It’s helped quite a bit. It was a little difficult to install but once we got it set up, it has been awesome. It’s so easy to create schedules for what you want it to be when home, during the night, and when away from the house. I love that it can be controlled from our phones so we can adjust it during the day from work if we need to since we have dogs or if we are going to be home earlier than normal.

Love it! Especially the alexa feature. Can schedule operating times and temp range. Also sends alerts and reminders!!

This is the best smart thermostat on the market, hands down. I've tried Nest, Honeywell, and a few other no-name brands before trying Ecobee. We now have six installed between my primary residence, vacation home, and my parents house. Don't let the price scare you, they have saved their cost in energy in less than a year for each location. I installed my first one almost 5 years ago and even trying the others since but it's been no comparison. One thermostat is monitoring 3 zones and controlling forced air gas heat, off-peak electric, and a heat pump on a variable drive furnace. Another is on an in-floor radiant heat boiler. I even have one run on a power adapter to control a line voltage electric heater in a garage. By far the most flexible for installation options compared to the others Web connectivity has been great. The new firmware has helped with energy savings even more than basic configurations.

Amazing. Allows me to have best thermostat voice control without a fifth ( C) wire I have other smart thermostats but this is BEST
