Purchased because I kept forgetting to change the controls on my old thermostat before leaving home. I use HomeKit so this is one of few smart thermostats that work with the Apple ecosystem (and probably best thermostat that works with HomeKit). The setup was fairly effortless and the instructions clear. I like being able to tell Siri to change the temperature. I also like that the thermostat changes settings based on if you are home or not and time of day through comfort settings. I pretty much don't have to touch my thermostat. You can also subscribe to the $5 Ecobee security system. Which I like because it uses your sensors to monitor motion while armed. If motion is detected you will get an alert on your phone. It also listens out for smoke detectors. Downside is the sensors, they can work counter intuitively to energy savings. With research you can setup your system to properly use the sensors. Definitely recommend!

Partnered with my energy company and saved on my electricity bill. Instillation was a bit tricky because I have an old system. Nice that this came with an adapter for older systems. Comes with Alexa but if I could I’d by the one with out, I already have a smart speaker in living room. Keep thermostats on mute to not confused other speaker lol

Can't say how much this is saving us money already, while also making our home much more comfortable and easy. It looks great and comes with a trim kit too! It also comes with one sensor (highly recommend getting a few more - makes it much more "smarter." Also, the rebates you get from your power company can also help you save money. Very intuitive to set up and install - two screws basically and connect the wires. The Alexa speaker does great too - was much more powerful than I thought it would be. It was a hard choice between this one and the Nest, but this one has more versatility, better charts, and also can connect to a more diverse set of home kits.

Smart thermostats have always been a want for our house. We finally took the plunge, and bought two units, for both air conditioners. I could not be happier. They are saving us money, and the house is cooler because of the sensors. Happy with our purchase.

Easy to install, handle my old wiring easily, no complaints.

I have had two Nest thermostats and this one beats both of them hands down. It is easier to setup and navigate. The only thing is the Alexa voice has an issue every once in a while. I turned it off because I have too many other Alexa devices anyway. I would only look at this thermostat if you are wanting a smart wifi one.

We actually replaced 2 2nd Generation Nest thermostats with these. The room sensors have eliminated some hard to manage rooms, and HomeKit integration is a huge plus! HomeKit was a huge reason we made the switch from nest when upgrading. The schedule function in the app could be better but all around, an excellent product.

I’ve used this thermostat for a couple months now and have really enjoyed using it. I can’t really speak to savings because I installed it pretty quickly after we moved into our house. I will say that the app is great and very user friendly. I like the way the scheduling is set up and how customizable it is. Definitely would recommend.

Easy to install and control using your phone the temperature

This Ecobee is SUPER easy to use. The app and PC applications are easy to use. Installation was a challenge only because my Furnace is in my attic. My previous system (Honeywell) had below builder grade components. I had to hook up an additional wire on both the Ecobee and the furnace. The Ecobee support walked me through the entire process. Patiently waiting while I grabbed my ladder, flashlight, etc. (I was unaware I would need to access my furnace). Depending on what control panel you have, you probably wouldn't even need to add the extra wire. Still waiting or my first months efficiency report that the system generates for you. Definitely a good home upgrade.

Works as advertised. Just starting to use but straight forward to install and get set up.

Great thermostat. Installation was very easy even though I had to install PEK box. Easy to connect to apple home kit. Phone app works nice and easy to use.

I used to own a Nest, y decided to switch to ecobee. I'm pretty happy so far. I was able to install ir easily, also integrate with SmartThings with no issue. I also love the reporting features.
