Incredibly easy to install. Great smart thermostat!

Bought the ecobee to transition to something different and away from Nest to incorporate the thermostat element into my HomeKit smart home. I was hopeful that the ecobee 4 would be different and better than the previous ecobee 3 lite I had tried and returned. While the support for ecobee and YouTube channel they have is great, the interface is not intuitive by any means. I find that it requires constant fine tuning and adjustment to stay comfortable and the reason is by design: the Auto settings for your HVAC work by setting the temperatures you don't want (i.e., below this temperate start heat, above this temperature start cool) rather than something more comfort-oriented like staying inside a set range (i.e., heat or cool as necessary to stay between 69 and 74). The addition of the sensor with this package is nice, but when the sensors alone are costly by themselves it feels like a gimmick. They are somewhat instrusive as well, and confusing in HomeKit when the ecobee is broken into several different "tiles" (motion sensor, occupany sensor, temperature sensor, thermostat) then two of those same things for every sensor in the house. All in all, not happy with round 2 of ecobee in my household and will be going back to aNothEr thermoStaT.

Great upgrade, easy and quick to install..........

This loses a star for being a little wonky between multiple users within the household. The installation was made easy via the included instructions. It feels like they had considered multiple scenarios that might affect users based on the age and construction of their dwelling. The interface is clean and simple. I am surprised at how powerful the mic's pickup range is - it over powers an Amazon Echo from down the hall when I'm in the same room as the Echo. On that note, I didn't expect to use this for Spotify, but I have. YMMV with this feature, depending upon your music app of choice and physical location for the EcoBee within your home. I haven't really made use of the smart features beyond that. The sensor is set up in a draftier room to try and compensate.

i tried others, this one is by far one of the simplest ones to get going, it regulates your temp and knows when you are home or not. simple, smart, good desing. looks very good on my wall.

this took me 30 minutes to install and 5 minutes to install after reading the instructions. very simple and hooked up into Alexa easily. the added thermo sensor is great and follows you

Great product easy to install and end up saving you $$$

Ecobee provides the ability to change many settings that the Nest will not let you change. Start stop temperatures, calibrate ambient temperature. Takes the average of remote sensors instead of just using one remote sensor to use as ambient temperature, and many more. Would recommend this product.

Works great and saves us money on our electricity bill!

I was debating between this or Nest and after several reviews chose Ecobee. Both have high reviews but I felt this had more features that I needed in my home. The Nest looks sleeker and more modern, big but I chose functionality over appearance. Both had $75 rebate from my local utility company so check there for extra discounts.

Love this thermostat. Easy to use and very efficient

This is the second Ecobee I own, I left the first one on a rental property and bought this latest one for my home. There is no other thermostat on the market that can match the functionality of the Ecobee. The greatest differentiator is the sensors you can purchase for individual rooms. This guarantees that the temperature you set is achieved in the rooms that are occupied because the sensors capture both temperature and movement. In my opinion, this is the most elegant solution for a smart home yet, and I've been on the smart home wave for a long time now. And lastly, the customer service is beyond excellent!

I was looking for a thermostat to control the house that also works with HomeKit! I love this thing. So easy to use and voice commands with Siri make it even better.

This thermostat is AMAZING. It does everything! The temperature controls are definitely beyond those of the Google Nest Thermostat. I didn't have high expectations for the built-in speaker and man have I been pleasantly surprised how great the sound has been. I never would have thought that I'd play my Spotify music from a smart thermostat so much! It's the best of all worlds with the built-in Alexa features, speaker, and smart thermostat. It provides such a convenient and enhanced lifestyle and I love that I can control everything so easily through the app from my iphone and apple watch! No other brand compares with Ecobee.

The ecobee Smart Thermostat does almost everything I could dream of. The only missing feature is this: if I want to temporarily change the temperature, there isn't an option to automatically change back to the regularly scheduled temperature on the next portion of the day. Instead, you can override the schedule for 2 hours, 4 hours, or until you change it again. That made for some very warm nights by mistake.

I have used this for the past three months and it has worked very well so far. I have a two story home and the fact that this includes a sensor means when i am upstairs, i can base the temperature on the upstairs sensor and it works very well for when I am sleeping or working in my home office. I chose this initially because i was not sure that my setup had a C wire and it includes all the hardware and instructions to make it work. Thankfully installation was a lot easier than expected as my system did have a C wire that was not being used and took approximately 45 minutes. I am very happy with this so far.

I love it already. I can control the temp in my house from anywhere! My iphone, apple watch, iPad, etc. I like the smart sensor as well. My daughter's room doesn't get as warm as the rest of the house. Putting it in there helps for it to do better and heating her room. I would recommend this to any and everyone.
