Easily programmable with a big dislay It came recommended by our Heating and Cooling guy preferring it over the Nest. I haven't enabled the Alexa voice part as I have it already programmed. Peace of mind being able to check on it when on vacation. More options than the standard thermometer.

Great thermostat but the mounting holes were too narrow. I had to drill a hole in the mounting plate as the preset holes would just be going into air. The overhang of the thermostat once you attach it to the mount covered the screw nicely so it isn’t visible. It has some useful features that can work with some utility companies and pre-cool (or heat) your home when energy is cheaper (prices fluctuate during the day).

Ecobee took the shortcomings of the Nest thermostat and got it right. On top of that it has Alexa, you can’t go wrong with that!

I had the EcoBee 3 previous at our old home. Bought this for the new home and it was easy to setup and get up and running.

Nice smart thermostat with voice control and nice to set room temperatures with sensors. Multiple sensor can be configured and can be used to set room temps. And easily configurable and easy to use with ecobee app. Love the thermostat

Super easy to install. I love how it is a set it once and forget it device. It monitors when we leave home and adjusts that temperature accordingly. Had an AC guy out to look over the system in our new to us home and he stated he this was the best smart thermostat he has ever worked with.

Total Tech Support came out and installed the thermostat and walked me through the functions. Extremely happy with this product!

Ecobee Smart Thermostat has all the smart features I was looking for money saving settings, app, room sensor and the built in Alexa.

This is a great & convenient thermostat. Made a difference in my utility bill and having alexa built in the thermostat is a plus.

The unit works well, the touch and response could be a little better. The eco bee app needs some improvement. I also have a Nest Learning thermostat and prefer the ease of use and the old nest app, but Google owns it now and they blew it on new versions so I went with the eco bee for my second AC unit.I recommend the ecobee over the Google Nest and other products.

Nice thermostat, sleek-looking, easy to maneuver through the app, easy to use with Alexa (in which i think is the best feature). No need to purchase an Alexa for the living room, it’s built into the thermostat. Love it. I did have to call our HVAC guy to ensure everything was hooked up correctly. It’s fine—

This product is good and easy to use. It is convenient to set schedules and it gives reminders. Extra sensor is useful to put in the bedroom to maintain the temperature evenly. Only problem the phone that had app died and recovery is not easy. I will have to do factory reset to get it back. PG&E gives $100 back as rebate with this product.

There are probably better thermostats out there but I have had these in two homes now and they work as intended. Have two in my current home and they work well together.

I love my Ecobee smart thermostat. I just wish there was a way to program it to automatically shut off the AC or shut off the heat at a certain time at night while I am sleeping, like 3:00 AM. Still, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I recently installed Aprilaire 800 steam humidifiers in my house. I was forced to replace my Nest gen 3 thermostats as they don't do a good job of controlling the humidity. I purchased two Ecobee smart thermostats and the install was uneventful. Mechanically everything works fine. The app is awful. Often times it can't connect to their cloud service only to magically start working again. When it does connect, it makes you click multiple times in order to see how your system is operating. Some menu items are only available on the thermostat while others are available in the app and thermostat. Reporting requires you to log into a website completely outside of the app. Alerting worked once but never again. When reaching out to tech support with a simple question, it took an unusual amount of time to receive a response. The response that I did receive was a copy/paste canned response with zero input on the questions that I specifically asked. The technician assigned to my case did try to explain that humid air is heavier than dry air. Hmm. The last time I checked it rains from the sky not the ground. To summarize, the thermostat is smart, the app and tech support are not.
