Really liked the ecobee smart thermostat. I've not used a Nest so the only comparison I have is against the Honeywell "dumb" digital thermostats. With that in mind, the ecobee is a huge upgrade. Being able to control from an app and adjust schedules will definitely save money on my PG&E bill. The Alexa feature is a nice bonus, although I'm disappointed that it doesn't pair with my actual Amazon Echo to create a surround sound setup, but that's nitpicking. For it's purpose, it works great. I don't know if it's smart enough to adjust temperatures if no one is in the house... But I liked it enough to buy additional units and recommend them to friends.

Great thermostat! Easy to install even for someone who has no previous experience of changing a thermostat out. Looks great and works great. We have only had it for a couple weeks now but it has worked well and met the expectations we had so far!

We had a Google Nest for about 2 years when it suddenly started acting up. When we called the Nest phone number for help, they told us that we had just run out of our warranty. We were not happy. So we got an Ecobee. It does a great job of keeping the house cool at s higher temperature. We can keep the house set to 72 degrees and be comfortable. With the best we had to keep the house at 68. The Ecobee was easy to install and it's very use friendly.

I really like to save money. My old Ecobee thermostat started to glitch so it was time to replace it and this new Ecobee Smart Thermostat with voice control works great. There was an improvement in the technology and I'm pleased that it adjusted the time to save money by heating the house before the rate change with the electric company this reducing the cost and saving my money. The voice control is an added improvement that let's me turn the hallway lights on and off without raising my voice to talk to the Amazon device in the other room. All said and done I am pleased with the product.

Abosutely love this smart stat. I have to admit I was a little hesitant to purchase because they are a little pricey but am happy I did. I ended up getting a $150 electric utility rebate. I have seen a reduction in my electric bill since installed. Easy to install. Easy to use and I don't have to get out of bed when wife says "Honey I'm hot". Built in Alexa is nice to have also.

This was super easy to install. Did it myself in about 20 minutes which included removing the old thermostat. It has a clean interface. The app allows for quick adjustments or in-depth settings. I like that I can ask Alexa to turn down the heat. I wouldn't really recommend it as a speaker, and I don't like that it doesn't register on the Alexa app as a speaker. You can only use the built-in Spotify player for music. I'm interested in the new Eco Savings program that's been provided to purchasers of this model - we'll see how it works. I also like that I can see how I've been doing through the Home IQ although mine hasn't been populated yet. I had a previous model so I know what it will look like. You could probably get away with the older model that still has Alexa but doesn't have the "speaker." I don't see that it is worth it. But overall, a good product from Ecobee. I hope they will implement an update that will allow me to make it a regular Alexa speaker soon.

This Ecobee is easy to install and works great with my existing unit. The smart sensor works well and learns temperature over time to help adjust with the difference in temp. I'd buy two if I had more than one unit

I bought the ecobee thermostat because I has having issues with my Nest Learning Thermostat within 8 months of owning it and it wouldn’t cool anymore. I was able to buy the ecobee and save $50 as it was a daily deal. I really love this thermostat, it is easy to use, it has Alexa built in and it also has an additional sensor you can put in a room that you are in quite a bit and can regulate the temperature better. A big plus is that you can also set the thermostat to where you can see the information like the temperature outside, the time and the temperature in the house. I wish now that I didn’t waste my money on the Nest Learning Thermostat. I highly recommend this product.

this works perfect since we didn’t have the c-wire in our home. It is very convenient to use the app to change the temperature in the house. So far it works great and exceeds our expectations

I replaced a Honeywell Lyric T5 with this product. Easy to install, and much more reliable than the T5, which kept losing connection to my WiFi. I also got money back from PG&E!

Love the ease of use, not hard to install... can listen to music while your house is getting cool or warmed... hands free voice control makes it easy to use while you are cooking or cleaning.

This is my 3rd install of this device (in three homes). Each one is working great and super easy to manage for a range of users. Highly recommend over the problematic Nest thermostat!

Perfect for controlling the temperature wherever you are by simply using the app when travelling. Simply setup dates of travel and let the ecobee do the rest. Automatically maintains 76 degrees and humidity at 45%. for outside summer temps of 90+ degrees and 72 degrees on winter temps of 35 degrees. Logon to ecobee website for an efficiency report on usage and savings.

I have owned the Ecobee 3 Lite and now this newer version with Alexa built in. This one has a faster processor, 5ghz wireless, comes with a sensor (2 packs sell for about $80) and obviously Alexa but other than that they are the same. If you want to save money then the 3 is more than capable to cool your home and save you money. I had several sensors that I added to this and combined with the new Thermostat they save us a lot of money and keep the house comfortable for everyone. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a smart Thermostat unless you are already tied to the Google Home system this is a no brainer.

Had this one for over a year now and it’s rock solid, never fails and works perfectly. Got it on apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa, speaker on it sounds pretty well also. Easy to use, have recommended it to many friends and family and everyone is happy with ti, would buy it again if I ever had the need again. Best home Addition you could make, great purchase.. you won’t regret.

Great features, easy install, and easy to access and control the thermostat with App. Alexa voice is also an added bonus, for music or to set or change home AC/Heater settings.

Easy to setup, working great. Alexa integration also works well. Sensors detect when you are in your house and can automatically turn away mode off when you return.

I recently purchased the ecobee smart thermostat. It was simple to install and set up. Works great and I'm looking forward to getting savings om my utilities.

Easy to set up and customize. Connects with sensor and Echo Dot without much effort. App controls it easily. Great replacement for old fashioned thermostat.

The installation was easy! My advise: I'm going to caution youTube bingers, don't over watch. It's easy to go to the next review or installation tip. You'll find yourself 2 hours later and you've not done a thing! DON'T DO IT! :) Find an installation video you trust, ecobee also provides this. Next Advice - When installing ALWAYS....disconnect the AC from the electric panel and the electric cut off switch at the condenser outside. Don't risk it! You'll end up having to call an electrician and a nice AC technician on the weekend...both are going to show up with a big smile as they are getting paid Double Over Weekend Time.
