The only downside is once the kids learn that you can just ask Alexa to change the temp! And it often shows offline on the app when in fact it is online. Fairly simple to install unless you need to change the wiring. So maybe that is me. Love the extra room sensor I think these. A bit more pricey compared to others that are comparable.

I've been a Nest owner for nearly 10 years. I decided to check out the Ecobee mainly for the second temperature sensor in hopes it could help me balance the uneven cooling in my condo. I spend entirely too much time posting on Reddit or emailing tech support to get this cumbersome thermostat working. Whenever I would ask how to perform a task, I was told: "Create an IFTTT routine." I found it difficult to spend $250 on a thermostat only to require IFTTT routines to use. The second room thermostat never worked properly, the display on the app never matched the display on the thermostat, and the app is not user friendly at all. I wanted so badly to like this thermostat but I could not rip it off the wall fast enough and replace it with my old Nest. I hate to leave such a negative review but this was such a horrible experience.

Thermostat is nice, only down side is the scheduling and sensor. You cannot remove scheduling at all and have to manually set it when it changes to stock schedule. The sensor i had was bad, was almost 10 degrees off and keeping my air constantly running. Ecobee sent me a replacement with the same issue. Best bet is to use the thermostat without the sensors.

Bought this for my sons house he seen the one we installed and liked it. Easy install customer service was great had a extra wire on the unit that didn’t show in the diagram emailed the help section and they informed us where to install it.

Updating our Ecobee 3. Love the new options with this unit. Only issue we have is that since it has Alexa on board, it fights with our Alexa show. We have to move further into our living room to avoid the thermostat responding.

Like this alot, easy manual and app controls. Expandable through remote sensors. I am still working on creating my own tweaks for the best adaptive programs to adjust house temp and for time home/time away. Moved over from a competing thermostat. Not looking back.

Am very happy with the ecobee. I like it better than the nest. You can also order filters from ecobee but you do have to pay for them. You can adjust it or turn it off if you don't need it. also gives outside temp and indoors.

Purchased the latest Smart 5 thermostat as part of a new HVAC installation in my home. So far, it’s working perfectly and synchronized with the system. I have not setup the Alexa feature to control by audio but plan to do.

Can’t go wrong with ecobee. It’s supported with Alexa and comes with extra sensors so You can monitor the temperature in different rooms. It also has a smart sensor so that it saves money so that heats not constantly running if you’re not home.

The PEK module to work around not having a C wire was easy to install. The only con is the bright red light on top of the thermostat when you mute the microphone. I have to mute the microphone because there is another Echo near by.

I totally forget about standing up and going to my thermostat. Everything is done with my phone. The difficult part is to install it, 100% recommended to hire an expert, you don't want to deal with electricity. :s

Love this thermostat. Had it in my prior house, and as soon as I moved here invested in one. Had a Honeywell, but it didn't make it past a year. Use Nest at work and not impressed. Love the ecobee line!

Had some issues with connecting to Alexa, but reset the device and it worked. About as good as the Nest than I used to own. Prefer the rotary dial of the Nest to this touch screen. The remote sensor is a nice thing that the Nest does not have.

This thermostat is great. It has multiple options in the settings. The only drawback is that there are so many settings, the Ecobee website doesn't do a good job of giving you details on all the settings.

This is the best thermostat hands down. I love that I was able to schedule the entire week with times and temperature. I received my first light bill and it's gone down substantially, $70. This is a must buy, it's worth the money.

The only smart thermostats that I purchase. I have a Smart Homes company and these guys do it right. Their customer service is incredible and I highly recommend you purchase this ecobee thermostat.

Works nice fairly easy to set up but was disappointed in the digital read looks out of date

Been a Nest user for years now and recently switched to ecobee. Definitely like this thermostat a little better. The additional sensor with smart occupancy helps keep most used areas consistent with temperature.

This thermostat lives up to its name and game. Very intuitive app and interface. Woth the built in Alexa we play music/news/ etc in its location and use it to trigger other smart functions... recommended

Excellent, just wish you could change the comfort settings and schedule from the Apple home app, but that’s a small complaint and might be a limitation of the home app and not ecobee.
