The thermostat was easy to install and it's app is very nice. However, plan on purchasing more sensors if you live in a larger home to help even out the temperatures within your home. I purchased the thermostat to help even out the temperature in our lower level (finished basement). Unfortunately, since that level is always cooler, the thermostat has not been very useful in maintaining a more even temperature during the summer. If you include that sensor's temperature during the summer months, it needs to get fairly warm in the upper level for the A/C to run. I'm hoping when winters arrives it will help keep that level warmer.

Some people told me I wouldn't like this nearly as much as some of the other leading thermostats. They were wrong. PGE's $100 incentive helped me make the decision to purchase. Fairly easy to install & setup. Needed a little help from tech support. Long waits, but once they take the call, they know their stuff. Love being able to add additional sensors (6 total now) and monitor my various rooms & floors (and even one recreational vehicle!). Especially love being able to adjust from anywhere in the world.

This is a great thermostat and addition to any smart home setup. Instructions were easy to follow and came with everything needed to complete the job. I bought this device because it has a separate thermostat which works great for different areas of the home. Nest was far behind in the game when it comes to the extra thermostat. The interface is easy to use and this device works well with Samsung Smartthings.

I like the design better than Nest. The built in Alexa is awesome and works VERY well! It's nice having this on my wall in my hallway, I have spotify so when were getting ready for a night out or were cleaning it's cool to have a speaker on the wall in the hallway that resonates through the house! The 2nd sensor is nice to have, as with the app and sensors set up, theres a 2-3 degree differential between my thermostat in the hallway and my living room! Balances out the zones well, definitely can tell the difference!

Instructions for installation were very easy to understand and worked just as it should when done. Setup was a breeze.

Very helpful features which allow for automatic switching from AC to heat according to your comfort settings. Sensors have been working and help to increase comfort in the occupied rooms. Have started to see a decrease in energy costs. My HVAC contractor was not familiar with the Ecobee thermostat (they usually install Nest) and so initially they had to come out several times to get all the wiring done correctly, but now everything is working properly.

The ecobee smart thermostat can be used simply or can be used so complicated that you will get lost in the features. It's awesome. Having sensors in other rooms allows the house to be cool more efficiently, you can also exclude the sensors based on motion detection presence. You can get reports of your HVAC efficiency, as well as a live system monitor feed that shows a bunch of useful information especially for creating the setup you would like. There are a few weird quirks that are minor inconveniences more than anything, such as having to switch between the device, app, and web interfaces so see or do certain things, and while the device is an Alexa device, you cannot currently add the device to a group. Works with SmartThings which is awesome because it has better automation than Alexa. I would recommend this thermostat to anyone who wants a smarter thermostat and an Alexa device. The only downside to this device may be that it is not "learning", you just set a schedule that you can override anytime. However, I'm not sure how useful learning my routine is, it is pretty much the same and I feel like if I had a change that wasn't regular the "learning" may change stuff. So I prefer this thermostat is just smarter at managing the HVAC system, which this thermostat is light years beyond my previous manual thermostat. I highly recommend this thermostat, also works with any four wire system without a 'c' wire through the included power adapter that is connected between the HVAC control board and the wires at the control board to be connected at the thermostat.

Exactly what I was looking for in a smart thermostat. Chose Ecobee over Nest mainly because of the ability to place sensors in my toddlers room and other rooms used more frequently. Also like how it automatically goes into away mode if it doesn’t sense motion. Don’t really need Alexa but guess it’s a nice feature to have. bought 2 Units for my two story house and they were pretty easy to install by myself following the instructions provided.

Have used multiple thermostats and have come back to the ecobee. Solid functionality and access to a multitude of metrics. We feel like the temp is consistent with the ecobee over the others, even when taking into account the eco setbacks It also helps the integrations with smart home platforms, especially Apple HomeKit. The kids like the speaker because they can listen to songs while in the living room too.

Easy to install and now I can kraken sure the thermostat is at the right temperature on my kids upstairs ac.

This thing was super easy to install and works great. Definitely recommend it to get into smart home stuff.

It was easy to install (Even using the PEK). Works good but the Alexa integration is a bit lacking. You can't change the Alexa wake work on the thermostat so you are stuck with "Alexa" (all my others Alexa devices are "Computer.") It also cannot be used to trigger a routine based on the temperature in the house. This is a limitation of the Ecobee skill. If they change those two things it would get a five-star rating. It's also a bit pricey but I just got a $50 refund due to the the BB price match guarantee so that took out a bit of the sting.

I really like it so far, has some great features and was really easy to set up.

While it has other useful features, the two that we like best are: 1. Being to set it in both warm and cool mode at the same time. That way if the temperature drops below a set value, the heat will come on and if it get above a different setting the A/C will come on. 2. Having a simple Vacation mode setting so that when we are out of town, it has a different set of temperature values that it uses.

Purchased to replace 20 year old mercury thermostat. Installation and setup were easy. App is a bit antiquated, but still waits for the monthly reports to generate to evaluate usage. Remote sensor was a welcome addition to balance temperature of second floor of our home. Some of the features over the base model are a plus...research to see what is right for you. A bit pricy as I found the Nest on Sale, but decided to purchase the ecobee based on customer service and support... which I have used and recommend.

Installation was a breeze. I added three more sensors which helps keep the rooms I or my wife am in comfortable. Previously I had to always had to adjust the temperature based on the room I was in. Trying to find a balance between the first and second floor was never ending. With the ecobee and the sensors the problem is solved. I had a few technical issues and ecobee support was great.

I did a ton of research before buying the ecobee Smart Thermostat. While most of the smart thermostats offer a pretty rich feature set the ability of the ecobee to use multiple sensors really sets this unit apart. The addition of Alexa is very handy, although the ability to stream music through it is just silly. The UI of the unit is pretty good, but to be honest the App is easier to use.

Easy to install once you have the blue wire all set. Simple to program. Intuitive operation.
