The ecobee thermostat was easy to install and works as advertised. Programing is simple with written instructions and Alexa.

We went with the Ecobee due to its tight integration with Apple Homekit. Wanted to be able to control the thermostat from remote locations (as when no one is at home) and our research suggested Apple's solution is more secure than Google's or Amazon's. We don't use the built-in Alexa. It works well, looks good. Installation was pretty easy, even without C-wire. We're happy with it.

This is a great unit. I replaced an older non smart Honeywell thermostat upstairs. Setup and installation was easy. Had it working in less than 15 minutes. I love the features and how it learns your routine along with the sensors. I have a nest-e downstairs that works well but I will probably replace it with another one of these. The $50 coupon from the utility company was a plus also.

I'm very pleased with this thermostat. Along with its functionality, one reason I settled on the Ecobee over the Nest was that the Ecobee included the c-wire adapter, as I knew one my thermostats did not have a c-wire. I was a bit apprehensive about installing this thermostat myself but after reviewing the manual and watching some YouTube videos it wasn't bad. Just had to take my time and follow the instructions in detail. So far, it has worked great. Over the last 6 months there have been a couple of times when I needed to reboot it but no big deal. I love being able to adjust the thermostat from my smartphone or with Alexa. Overall one of my best purchases of the year.

Replaced a Nest learning thermostat with the ecobbe. The ecobbe is far superior in controlling temperature without running past the set temperature. The unit looks much better than the Nest and is more intuitive to operate.

I wanted an easy to use programmable thermostat, and that’s exactly what the ecobee Smart Thermostat is. After installation, I was too busy to read the instructions and thought I would look at them later. However, I actually started messing around with it before I ever got a chance to look at the manual, and realized right away that this was designed to be easy to use. I was able to set up day and night schedules, as well as an away setting that I engage when leaving the house. The app is really easy to use also, and I can change the setting back my regular program when heading back home, so the house will be nice and cool when I get home. The thermostat looks good on the wall and I couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommend.

This is my second ecobee and it is great. The interface online and on iOS is sleek, easy, and has many features. The Alexa feature and sound quality is great for a small device. It is great to have Alexa integrated if you want to combine devices. The included sensor is easy to set up and very helpful if you have areas in your house that get too hot or too cold.

Very easy installation. Works as expected. Have another ecobee that I’ve been using for 2 years adding this one to control the 2nd unit. The new device works with Siri and HomeKit too!

Wonderful statistics and is easy to use. I love having control over the thermostat from my phone now. Also, I enjoy using their temperature sensors so I can see over time in the charts how cold each room gets. My children's rooms get a lot colder than the master bedroom. Ecobee is able to adjust the temperature a bit better in the house so even out the rooms more.

I absolutely love the product, it was super easy to install with step by step directions. It has learned when we are home and has already started saving us money. With that being said be careful about the rebate- I never received it and have been trying to since I purchased it- very complicated and I’m not sure why they advertise it.

Original purpose was to replace my honeywell lyric round thermostat, which was buggy and ultimately needed replacing. This ecobee was good value since I did not have a separate echo or alexa device and this comes with it built in. Works well, no bugs so far with the app too seamlessly.

We have a two story house with dual zone thermostats. Home was built in 1999 and has Honeywell original programmable thermostats. We’ve hesitated to upgrade to smart thermostats because of the cost to buy two of them. But now that the Ecobee thermostat has been well-established and has added features, we took the $500 plunge and bought two of them to upgrade. So the main concern for anyone installing the device itself is if the existing system has the five wires including the “C” wire. Fortunately our unit not only had the five wires, but the wires were also colored to make them easy to identify when switching out from the old to the new. Ecobee wisely includes stick-on labels to mark the wires in case they are not colored. Instructions also suggest taking a picture of your old set-up before you disassemble, which is a good idea. I must say the installation instructions were the best I have ever seen. They were not your typical universal language picture-centric focus. Each step was clear and concise. It took me 15 minutes to replace the first thermostat and then only 10 to do the second. A breeze. Set-up is pretty easy as well. It helps to have a home WiFi network with good coverage. I just followed the on screen prompts to set it up and it was done. Programming is done via the app. As we are in the hot Summer months we just set them at 78 and forget it. I would give it 5 stars if they included a second sensor in the package. For $250 for the top of the line model, you would think two sensors would be appropriate. Better yet, offer a 2 zone package and include 4 sensors. Otherwise, this was a great upgrade and we hope to benefit from some energy savings as well.
