I love this device. I previously owned other smart thermostat before buying this. Each other unit I’ve had for over a year. I’m instantly in love with Ecobee. Plus connects to my HomeKit . I also got additional sensors added around house to ensure even temp. This is awesome

Replaced a Nest thermostat with the Ecobee. The Nest sensor would not allow me to set specific times for when it would be used for temperature control vs. the main thermostat. The best you could do was set the sensor to one of four Nest defined periods during the day which didn't align with the times I wanted. Ecobee definitely gives more refinement on how its sensors can be used to control the temperature. The only issue I have with the Ecobee right now is its ability to use geofencing for energy saving. It uses the sensor to detect if you are home or away. However, if you want to use cell phones as part of that determination, it can only track one phone. Not helpful if you have 2 people in the house and the one with the cell phone leaves while the other is at home. There are some workarounds through IFFTT or Homekit supposedly, but I haven't been able to get them to work.

Awesome thermostat that is easy to install and use. HomeKit compatible and Alexa enable are to extra features that makes this thermostat a must have for your smart home. Bestbuy also makes it super easy to get your instant rebate within the shopping cart from ComEd!

Great product, very easy to install. User friendly and the directions are very specific, highly recommended.

Great sad solution for large are where thermostat is located in one end, the sensor feeds to the thermostat to even gout the temp. Had to reach out to Ecobee tech support for install guidance, they got back to me but with couple of days delay.

I really like the Ecobee, but I think its not quite as simple as some people may think it is. It's very easy to install (in my home at least), the app is intuitive, so is the Ecobee itself. Overall its a nice package, but it does require some fine tuning to make the most of it. First off, I think a few smart sensors are needed to make the most of it. This comes with one which is really nice, and the Ecobee itself is one. The more sensors you have, the more data points the Ecobee has to determine which rooms are occupied and what temperature the rooms are. This allows it to factor in the temperature of some rooms and factor out others depending on if they are occupied. The Ecobee itself has this functionality as well, so if its in a good spot this Ecobee is a great option. If your thermostat is somewhere where occupancy sensors aren't helpful, I would consider the Ecobee 3 lite. Past that I think its important to play around with schedules, which sensors are used in each schedule, and messing with the Eco+ settings. After some fine tuning this thermostat can make the house much more comfortable for everyone and can save some energy while its at it. A good example of this was the old thermostat was downstairs and all the bedrooms were upstairs. The old thermostat would need to be set to 67 to keep the upstairs below 78 during hot summer days, but if you forgot to turn it back up to 71 or so it would cool the entire house to 67, some rooms would get even lower at 64 or less. The Ecobee has sensors in every room so during the day it makes sure the upstairs stays comfortable, but at night it makes sure rooms don't get too cold. Its very flexible and with some fine tuning it can be used to optimize comfort and electricity usage in any house. TLDR: Very good product, buy some additional smart sensors and spend some time fine tuning its schedules and behavior.

We love everything about our new Ecobee thermostat. Not even sure where to start. Love the convenience of being able to check/change both the temperature and humidity levels with my phone. Love the easy of use and easy installation instructions. Haven’t used much of the programming features, but I’m sure it’ll be intuitive, just like everything else. The only thing I would say is a blip in a perfect review would be the price. However, it’s in the same price range as it’s competition. Glad I went with the Ecobee.

This is such a great thermostat! I have integrated this as part of my newly created smart home and I could not be happier. Having the Alexa option was the biggest selling point for me, but what I have utilized the most are the smart sensors. I purchased a seperate pack of 2 additional sensors to use in some of the upstairs rooms. The information alone to understand the differing temps in my house have been so helpful to make better, eco-friendly decisions. I have all sorts of routines and "comfort settings" now, it's like I don't even have to think about making sure that the information being used is the best one for me and my family. Almost feels like having a daul climate zone without forking out the big bucks to redo the duct work in a much older home. I will be a loyal ecobee user for quite some time. Check out the ecobee switch+ too. Great quality and really cool features! :)

Love it! This works great! It was pretty easy to get set up! No complications at all. We absolutely love the design. It look's great on the wall. It works great with Alexa, we can change the temperature without getting up now! We can have it auto set to change temperature different times in the day. Our bedroom gets very warm at night so we set it up to drop the temperature at midnight so now when we forget it does it automatically for us and saves me husband a trip down the stairs! The app is also great. GREAT purchase!

The device works wonderfully with a few minor points of awareness. This is smaller than the old style units so you might need paint for your wall. Had a problem getting the phone app and the online account to sync. Had to wipe the accounts for both and try a third time to get them working. Once up and programmed it works like a charm.

This is by far the best thermostat I have ever installed. It's Alexa enabled so it does everything. You can control the temperature through their app and get weather reports. The additional sensor helps regulate the temperature throughout the house.

This is a very intuitive smart thermostat. Easy to install, and the fact that I can play spotify through it is a definite plus!

I have only had this for less than a month, but so far, I am impressed with it. It was pretty easy to install, started up easily, and has good information readily available. This is my first "smart" thermostat. I bought 2 of these, with the extra module for other rooms. I noticed right away some of the problems I had with some rooms being obviously warmer than others are minimized. I had issues with 1 zone causing 2 other zones to get really cold when the first room was cooling by 2 degrees. That problem is gone now. Hopefully, that will save me some money. I haven't had them long enough to figure out if there is any savings. It is nice to be able to talk to Alexa and drop in on the Echo devices in the house. So far, I would say this is a "buy". Was a little expensive, but not too much.

This is the second home we've installed ecobee thermostats in. We loved them in our first house, and had to have them in our new home. Great instructions, easy to install, and if you run into issues, their support team is awesome!

Extremely easy installation even for someone with low to mid level skills with home improvement projects. Easy and seamless integration with my Alexa devices. Setup of schedules, vacation times, etc are all quite easy.

Great user interface; easier to install compared to previous gens; reminders for service and cleaning / replacing filter are helpful; eco+ feature is saving us $$$.

I was hesitant at first about spending money on a thermostat. But now that I have it, I love it! It has already made a huge difference in the controlling of the temperature in the building. And to have the control while I am away is great. I have already highly recommended this product to a few friends. The ease of the installation was alarming. I'm not a very handy person. So for me to be able to install this thermostat on the first try without any issues made me feel very accomplished.

Bought this to replace 10 year old thermostat and with the additional room sensor helps regulate temp. Was a breeze to set up. Comes with everything you need. “C” wire adaptor in the box if you need it. Work with and has Alexa built in.
