The bell has good camera quality but the chime is not working no matter how hard I try it to work. Unfortunately it was for my mom and we are out of best buy refund policy.

Much, much, better than Ring. Our Ring melted from the heat from the sun! The ecobee is much better made and works with my ecobee thermostat to save electricity when no one is home. It also shows who is at the door on our AppleTv units on our television sets. If Amazon leaves a package at the door the camera will angle down to let us us see the package. It’s simply great. You will not regret this purchase!

Good and rigid. Issue with transformer's..it needs 24 volt transformer. Its not clearly mentioned.

This is a wonderful doorbell with very high resolution and great sound. Easy for our installer to angle and configure properly.

I have both ecobee and Nest doorbells at separate houses. From a pure doorbell perspective, I like the video quality and pan/zoom features of the ecobee doorbell much better. I did have to use an external 24V AC adapter since my old doorbell transformer was ot up to snuff.

Pretty easy install, I got it because it works with HomeKit. Wish it didn’t require a subscription, but it is inexpensive.

Really easy to install and if you have a ecobee premium thermostat this is a no brainer addition. The viewing angles and quality of image is top notch both during daylight and night. Works great with HomeKit as well.

Other doorbells are much better response time and angle quality

An absolute banger of the a product especially if you want Apple HomeKit integration in your home. A clear and easy install coupled with an amazing app ecosystem and user experience.

Bought this to replace a nest doorbell and it is built really nice. I really appreciate the fact that it comes with wire extenders; i used my soldering iron to tin them to my existing wires that were very short. I also love the fact that it works with HomeKit and the ecobee thermostadt as a viewing screen. Well done ecobee!

This Ecobee hardwired doorbell was intended to replace and different brand video doorbell we've had for years and years. From the beginning of installation, to the headache(s) of getting it connected, and to dismounting it and putting our old one back - I am extremely disappointed. First off, the instructions are all in-app and trying to manage keeping the phone screen on, working with both hands to install, and several inaccurate instruction steps was a nightmare. I was able to eventually get the Ecobee video doorbell installed, connected to Bluetooth, and my 2.4ghz wireless network. It seemed as though the headaches of installation was worth it. It worked for approximately 3 minutes and then the ring around the doorbell turned red. Going through the FAQs and troubleshooting led me to believe the device wasn't getting enough power. So, I tested the wires with a voltmeter and everything was perfect. I then cut the wires substantially higher up to see if it was just a case of old wires breaking down (my neighbor is an electrician and helped me out with this). Not the case. I spent so much time and effort on this and it's an absolute disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Doesn’t work with HomeKit secure video, but if you trust ecobee than go for it! Good cam.

Recently picked this up to replace an older Nest Hello doorbell since Google recently discontinued support for Nest Secure… so far so good! Appreciate the Apple HomeKit integration, which seems to work well. I do miss some features available on Nest such as being able to silence the doorbell for a period of time… but pleased overall with the end result.

I needed a HomeKit enabled video doorbell and after research the Ecobee stood out. I like its integration with the Ecobee thermostat to make it a small video screen to interact with it. It has good response and great integration with HomeKit. I just wish it was a little smaller than it is but besides that it’s great. I like it much better in its operation than the Google Home.

Easy to install and setup, simple integration with HomeKit.

Ecobee initially added HomeKit arming and disarming support, then abruptly removed it without any notice. I didn’t realize this change for two days, which meant my home wasn’t arming at night or when I left the house. For a so-called security product, that lack of communication is pure negligence. I also discovered another major flaw. if my thermostat loses its internet connection, even while still connected to my router, the security system will not trigger an alarm. Alarm functionality is locked behind their subscription paywall. That makes the system unreliable and focused more on driving subscriptions than protecting customers. What’s worse is the inconsistency. Even without internet, the door chime still works locally on the thermostat, yet the alarm itself won’t sound. That shows the feature is intentionally disabled unless you’re paying "or connected to the internet". This creates a dangerous situation. My home could still have power, but if someone cut the internet line, they could open a door while I was asleep and the alarm would remain silent inside the house. Between the unannounced HomeKit removal and the critical internet dependency, I’ve decided to abandon the entire Ecobee product line. Avoid this system, it cannot be trusted.

This video doorbell is everything I hoped it would be or do. Wonderful color day and nite and I love the talk feature.

I love the ecobee smart cameras in my house and this is a great doorbell that integrates with them. It also supports Apple HomeKit and secure video which is a must.
