I was on the fence about owning a robot vacuum cleaner however, this vacuum ensures that I'm not having to work as hard to keep my house clean. We have St. Bernard's so that means lots of hair when it's shedding season, this vacuum keeps up. I am truly amazed. We named ours Piper as she is the pied Piper of animal hair.

I’ve never owned any kind of robot vacuum so my review will be entirely through the eyes of a new user and my experiences using Ecovacs Deebot N20 Pro Plus Robot Vacuum AND Mop! First thing I see when I open up the box is I see very handy instructions on what to do first (as pictured in one of my uploaded pictures) secondly, I took everything out of the box, everything comes, packaged very nicely and with care with protective linings and Styrofoam. First thing I did was look at the instruction manual, the second thing I did was download the Ecovacshome app. The next thing I did was plug in the charging station/dust collector. Then I went to the app to command Deebot to go to its base and started charge. Setting up the app was relatively straightforward, it walks you step-by-step on how to connect Deebot to the Internet using Wi-Fi. At this point, the app said I had 60% battery, But it’s a good idea to fully charge it before getting started. I’m very impressed with my Deebot. It cleans up surprisingly well and even though it won’t clean your whole house in 10 minutes, it will eventually get there if you give it enough time. After 25 minutes of operating in the vacuum only mode, The battery was down to 85%. That’s not bad if you ask me. At that rate, it will last several hours without needing a recharge. When it is done, or when you commend, Deebot will go back to its charging station and empty out its contents, or you can just empty it out manually. Very easy to empty it out manually. Just popped the lid, take out the trash container by pulling on the handle, open the latch in the back and that’s it! Deebot is not a toy even though it feels like it, it’s my favorite electronic right now. But it should be properly cared for and don’t let kids or pets disturb it. Be very careful if you are using it upstairs so that it doesn’t fall down the stairs, the instruction manual recommends you block any access to the stairs because of this. As soon as I started for the first time, I noticed that Deb goes around your house to “map” it. After that, it works itself from the outside in. And then it doesn’t cross patterns to fully cover every single inch. So far, it has not gotten stuck anywhere, I’m impressed on how well it’s able to navigate every obstacle, it’s biggest enemy that I have our extension cords on the floor because he’s got tangled a couple times but both times it managed to get free. I have an area rug and it went over that as well with no problems. When you at the mop attachment, it also does a very nice job at cleaning your floors, as well as sweeping it. Overall, I am very impressed with Deebot. It looks and feels very premium in quality. It is made well, it is designed well and overall I am very happy with it.

Let's start with the facts. I have 3 fluffy cats that shed A LOT and I have 2 large bedrooms with carpet and hardwood in the rest of the house that hides nothing. I need to vacuum at least every other day to keep up with their shedding. They also track water on the floor which leaves messes on the hardwood. I've had multiple robot vac's but none of them could get the job done. This N20 seems like it's the best one I've had so far. Getting it set up was easy. I already had another Deebot so the app was already installed, all I had to do was add the new device and start mapping my home. Because of the amazing sensors on this vac, mapping was quicker than any other vac i've seen. I let it charge for awhile after that and then set up a cleaning sequence. I was amazed by the job it did, even with hair stuck in the carpet. Unlike other vacs that would get hair caught in the dirt bin, this one uses suction without a bag and gets every bit of dirt and hair out of the internal dust bin. These are first world problems, but it's great not having to empty it myself each time. I was also impressed with the mopping feature. My floors streak easily, but this vac did as good a job as any other mopping vac I've used. I wouldn't use it as my only floor cleaner, but it's great for everyday messes. My kitchen tile is spotless using this. I highly recommend this vac, Deebot is a brand I trust and it's the best robot vac I've encountered.

The Ecovac vacuum has changed how we cleaned our house. I have had robotic vacuums since the 20/10 from low models to high-end models, and this has been a delight to use. It’s easy - i’m not joking, nor am I lying from unboxing to cleaning the start button, the Eco vac has made it seamless and easy. When the box was first delivered, I couldn’t believe that what I thought was a large vacuum is a large vacuum fit in this box. It was perfectly packaged with extra foam and disassembled to be easily put back together after five minutes, maybe less of setting it up physically and through the app step-by-step process we were ready to roll. The app allowed me to map my house first before cleaning and it actually cleaned it while it was mapping the house I live in a rancher so I only need one floor to be scanned, but the vac allows you to save up to three rooms in case you live on multiple floors and would like to bring the vacuum around. Since set up, I literally have had to put zero effort in managing this system. The Eco that goes around cleans my house. It’s able to jump up on and over small thresholds, cords, and other small obstacles. Now I can’t jump over like a toy, but I can fix over something like a doorway, threshold, jam, or power, cord, and things of that size and nature. The vacuum relies on lidar technology to map your home understand it surroundings and improve its performance. As I mentioned with the set up after one time of map in the house, it essentially knew everything. I’ve only needed to improve the map one time through the app which allows you to combine rooms if the vacuum accidentally thinks one room is multiple rooms or if you need to make boundaries or other adjustments. It was honestly at once and done process however I think because the lidar technology is so well done, including with the app that this vacuum is amazing and one of the best in the market. The lidar technology if you do not know what is 3-D mapping of your home. On top of the vacuum, there is circular cover, which sticks out and houses the lidar system. It’s design was also thought of as it has not got caught on any of my pieces of furniture or items around the house. The housing was put low enough that I can go under almost every single cabinet that I have. I never used any mop system that came with a robotic vacuum until now. From unboxing I knew this one was built different. It comes with two removal, washable pads, and a tank that swaps out from your typical and normal vacuum system, but what’s nice is that it doesn’t lose the vacuum functionality so it’s still vacuums and then mop your floors. Once you fill the tank up, I used warm water and put a clean pad on. I said it in my kitchen floor and began cleaning my kitchen. It shakes the pad vigorously which you can adjust from low to high. I leave it on high and it does a great job While only using water. Once it was done cleaning my floor it was better than if I mopped it, which I just did a few days ago. The vacuum also knows not to use the mopping system on carpets at first mine had it struggled with that as it was trying to mop the floor of my dining room, which is carpet, but it has not done this again and has avoided mopping the carpet since. As I previously noted, the app is amazing from Ecovac. Downloadable on the App Store and Google play store this is a well made application that you will enjoy using while keeping your house clean. The app allows you to see your full mapping of your home and different floors. It allows you to set up schedules and within the schedule section you can select a variety of options like which areas you want the home cleaned at one time and you can set a variety of these or you could just set up a general cleaning schedule and put auto and it will go and clean everything for you without any more thought. As I said prior, you can save up to three different maps, which helps with different floors or different levels of your home. There’s a variety of different settings and options. You can change a lot of which have an auto function to again make things easy. The most important feature with this app is that you can access it from anywhere you do not have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi system. I can be at work and realize oh I forgot to vacuum the living room and click start from my car, work or anywhere. The final highlight is how the system recharges empties itself and the bagless station. There is a setting in the app called auto empty which allows the vacuum to continuously go back to the station empty and go back to cleaning and resume exactly where it left off. Note that when I was setting up my vacuum, I noticed that this feature was off. Maybe it was just me, but I would highly recommend making sure this feature is turned on. The device will also go back to the Station if it needs to charge and resume cleaning, but I have noticed that this vacuum has cleaned my entire house and has gone back to the station. I checked the app and my vacuum is still in the 70 to 80% battery range. The station is great one click button and you remove the backless container covered over a trash bin click another button. It empties close it up and put it back in the Station. You’re done no more bags on a smart robotic vacuum. After many days of use, I can say that this is hands-down, one of the best smart and bagless robotic vacuums on the market. The Ecovac is efficient, easy and effortless, which I can say in confidence.

This one is quieter than my last Ecovac, and the base station is thinner and taller which I appreciate as it going further up the wall doesn’t bug me as much as a base station that sticks way out. But that just be where we like to put it so you so your use case might vary. I love the base station that allows you to run the vacuum quite a bit before needing to empty anything, I also love that you can actually see inside the larger dirt container as it helps me know when I need to empty it. I like the customizability of the strength of suction and the amount of water, but really, we leave it on max settings so I’m not actually sure how much they are needed. But the zones are pretty helpful as I can make off my office incase I forget to shut the door as the amount of cords in there that are often on the floor can cause some issues for the vacuum. I really like that it came with a water container attachment as well as an insert into that area for when you are just interested in vacuuming, we like to run the vacuum a couple times a day but the mop maybe once a week so it being able to easily go on the rugs during most of the time is really appreciated. Overall, it feels high quality, looks nice, isn’t too loud, and most importantly sucks up all the dirt.

    Best Robovac so far

As far as I can tell, every robot vacuum, at least the ones under $700, has issues. I had used the Roborock S7+ for a year before switching to a pricey self-emptying S8+. Unfortunately, that model had an even harder time getting over the 2 cm thresholds in our house than the older one. Frustrated, I gave this thing a shot. So far, I'm mostly happy with it. For anyone who has used Roborock, you will find the app and basic unit very familiar, though with fewer features. Unlike the Roborock, however, I love the clear reusable canister emptying station rather than the opaque disposable bag. What I didn't realize when I bought this is that also unlike the Roborock, this unit cannot vacuum and mop at the same time, they are actually separate modules. Technically, the mop module is supposed to also vacuum, but I have found it pretty weak and the robot will avoid carpets with the mop module, so you really do need to switch them out. Not a big deal for me, as I only really want mopping once a week. I'm also pleased to say this thing *usually* is able to climb over our 2 cm thresholds, at least a lot more often than the Roborock. It still has its fair shares of frustrating problems, like giving up on cleaning an area without even trying to get there (Roborock did this too) and getting disconnected from the charger even while sitting in the dock, causing it to lose connection (Roborock did not do this). It is significantly quieter than the Roborock on most vacuum settings, though I wonder if it is quite as effective. I usually run it on a higher or highest vacuum strength, as this has been known to drop dirt when hitting thresholds. The mopping uses notably more water than the Roborock and it is a bit more difficult to fill. Like the Roborock, it often takes puzzling routes or doesn't clean an area quite as well as you think it should. My wife prefers the look of this docking station to the Roborock. Bottom line: For all its drawbacks, this Robovac is fewer headaches than the Roborock and meets my basic requirement for daily vacuuming and occasional mopping. And it is significantly cheaper.

I recently had the opportunity to own the new Deebot N20 Pro Plus robot vacuum and decided to pull the trigger after being somewhat hesitant given I already own robot vacs from Irobot, Neato & Shark. Soo far I am glad I decided to add another robot and it has far exceeded any expectations that I had in the beginning. Since arriving & I first started using it, I have been really pleased by its performance and especially the mopping feature. The associated app from Ecovacs that comes with it is simple to install and fairly straightforward & in line with apps from most other brands with all of the functionality controls that you would expect. I had a small issue when first attempting to connect but made a few adjustments to my router which cleared up the issue. One of the without a doubt best features of the N20 Pro Plus is the mopping function which I have never had on any of the other units that I own. Having the mopping ability in combination with the vacuuming is an absolute must for me from this point forward. The N20 Pro handles all of your standard flooring surfaces, including carpet, hardwood, vinyl and tile floors with ease. I have consistently been able to average at least about 40 mins of runtime on each cycle which I have setup for every other day as I live alone, however when its battery does run low, it has automatically returned to its charging base and has never been found "dead" and alone in the middle of some room or under a bed. Overall, I have been highly impressed with the Deebot N20 Pro Plus robot vacuum and will recommend it to anyone that is in the market!

We have 2 dogs that shed constantly. We own 2 dyson cordless vacs, V15s. We had to manually vacuum both floors of our house every day. If we miss a day, the dog hair would start to accumulate. It became very annoying. With this Deebot, it just does its own thing continuously throughout the day. We even put it in the upstairs and it figured out the floor plan on its own. It always leaves the house looking freshly vacuumed and does a very competitive job of getting all the dog hair and dust from our floors. It doesn’t quite pick up the same amount of hair that the Dyson V 15 will do, but not having to vacuum every day is a huge time savings.

My wife and I have used eecovacs product for nearly 10 years and making the upgrade to this model was definitely worth it. We had a motor burn up after a few months and the support from eecovacs was excellent, they sent us a shipping label and within a week sent us a brand new vacuum that has been going strong for 5 years in spite of 5 small kids with endless spills and messes. Could not be happier.

Love this little machine. No issues at all. Great app for usage. I’ve owned amother Vacuum robot before and so far compared to this one its a huge difference. Let me give you a summary and then pro and cons. TLDR: this robot is worth the cost. It has superior mapping capability, easy setup, simple maintenance, and overall customer satisfaction. Some of the pros include: Lidar Scanning and its Zero Tangle brush. These two allow it to scan the correct areas and understand the differences in surfaces it is cleaning over. I have Vinyl flooring and Tile and it did well gathering minor to small particles on the ground. This includes, new years day confetti, dirt from shoes and from dogs coming inside from outside, dust and small dog hair. It is able to maneuver around my modern dining room table with its many legs. It also can recognize when there is an object in its way within its view at different angles such as when a dog cage is open or changed position computer desk chair. Overall the vacuuming has been top notch. Cons: the mopping doesnt have a dirty reservoir at its station so expect minimal mopping with cleaning solution. The mopping is a neat feature and I can only recommend it as a tidy gimmick before needing to do a full fledged mopping between then. Still the mopping was able to pick up small grime and messing left by my dogs (i.e., slobber and small spotting left by my male dogs). Another issue i see that an update could fix is allowing me to control the direction in case I only want to clean one area without having to assign it to a room/zone. Other than that I cam recommend this as a starter vacuum.

Been very happy with the n20 pro plus. Mapping was fast but after 1st mapping do a vacuuming only run and the map will tweak itself even better before you combine, divide and name rooms otherwise the map will change alittle. Love the bagless design. Mopping is very basic compared to alot of others but for my basement it will work fine for my needs. Mainly wanted great vacuum.

I realize this is a low priced unit. That said I have had it now 2 weeks and it was bought to replace a beloved NEATO D7 that just stopped working after 4 years (And no longer in business) that was around $499 at the time. It had no mop or voice or self empty etc.. it was just a vac. I was hoping this was in that world. It isnt. 1st the battery life. It cannot do my whole floor 700 sq ft without returning to recharge. It gets stuck on everything. It does pick up stuff but ok. I dunno I have a few weeks left on this but I think it's getting returned. Never tried mop feature so cannot speak on that.
