Robot is always lost. it is not finding the area request to vacuum and most of the times it is not finding its home. Also, requesting to vacuum an area and it is not doing the entire area. Just passing part of the area and going back to home saying work done successfully. :(. I do not recommend it.

Best cleaning Robot ever, at the best price in Best Buy

Purchased 12/5 and it worked like a champ. We have pets in the house and the machine kept our wood floors clean, without leaving too much water or mop residue. On 1/14 the machine alerted an anti-drop sensor needed to be cleaned. We have followed the instructions and nothing is working. The robot corcles around, loses its map, and cant make its way back to the station. Best Buy wont do anything outside the 14 day return/exchange window and the manufacturer told me my lroof of purchase (Best Buy’s digital receipt) isn’t sufficient. Total nightmare and the bot is useless. $650 down the drain! Buyer beware! These sensors aren’t available online. Ive searched everywhere!

Great investment on the vacuum robot I recommend it

The Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni is a robotic combo vac/mop with with wifi, self emptying dust bin, hot water mopping, self-cleaning mopping pads, and more. The unit comes very well packaged and has a very premium feel to it. Setup is easy. Once it's out of the box, you just have to snap on a couple of the attachments, and take off all the adhesive that kept things from moving around during shipping. Then you download the Ecovas app and follow the steps for setup. After you have the app set up, the first thing the vac will do is make a map of your home. It's important that for this step you have your floors pretty clean and I would go ahead and follow it around and move things out of it's way so it doesn't get stuck or anything. You want it to get as accurate map of your home as possible. It took a couple of attempts for mine to get an actual map. The first time it got stuck on a corner of an area rug and when I moved it it messed up the mapping. Another time when it finished, the map didn't actually show up at the end. But I feel that this was just a bug with the app. Because I did this again a couple of times and got the same result every time. After leaving it for a little while after the last time trying, the next time I opened the app, there was my map. And it was a pretty accurate map. Even though I had some kids' toys blocking a rather big section of the wall, it was still able to use it's lasers to accurately detect where my walls were. Overall I'm pretty impressed and happy with the results. I just wish the map showed up correctly in the app faster. Once the map is set, you're ready to start cleaning. I went ahead and just tried out vacuuming first. It performed very well. It was able to clean about 475 sq. ft. in about an hour. And it did a very good job. It was also quieter than I had expected. One thing that it couldn't handle very well though, was my area rugs. I have a couple of smaller rugs and one large one. The large one is a Ruggable. It had trouble going over almost all of the area rugs without folding up the corners or just getting completely stuck. It performed the worst on the Ruggable since that one is a bit raised because of the mat underneath. The little brushes that spin kind of work themselves right under the rug and then when it tries to roll on to the rug, it just flips it right up and folds it over. For the smaller rugs, I can just pick them up before cleaning. But for my large area rug, this is going to be the most troublesome, as I cannot easily move that one everytime I want to clean. So I'll definitely have to supervise when it's near that rug. Which defeats the purpose of a robotic mop a little in my opinion. With everything else, it performed really well. I tried to tidy up so it wouldn't get stuck, but I missed the stray sock and toy here and there, but it was very good at detecting those little objects and navigating around them. I think going forward I won't feel as anxious to make sure the floor is as tidy before starting cleaning. It's nice to not have to worry about that as much as with my previous robot vac. I also noticed that it doesn't bump into things as much. My previous robot vac would have to physically touch things to detect them. With the T20, it uses lasers and other sensors, so I rarely saw it actually physically bump into anything. Overall very satisfied. Next, I tried the vac and mop function together. This is where the vac with both vacuum and mop at the same time. Again, the performance was very impressive. And I was very surprised that it cleaned the same area in about the same amount of time. I was expecting it to take a little longer, but nope, since it basically just turns on the mop to mop up behind where it just immediately vacuumed, it doesn't take much longer at all. The only real added time is the few times it stops to clean the mop heads and refill the water. For mopping, there is no cleaning solution included or anything. It just uses hot water (which the unit heats up itself) and the rotating mop heads. This does a pretty decent job of cleaning. Ecovacs does sell a cleaning solution you can add to the water tank, but you shouldn't use any other cleaning solutions or bleach or anything to avoid clogging, corrosion, etc. I am very curious to try their solution, but all my testing was done with just the hot water. Overall I was very happy with the mopping performance. Something else that the vac features, which I thought was a bit overkill, is it's own built-in voice assistant, Yiko. Similar to Siri or Google, you just say something like OK Yiko, clean the kitchen, and it gets to cleaning the kitchen. I actually really like this feature more than I was expecting. You can still hook it up to Google or Alexa, but I didn't see a need for this since I just ended up using Yiko. This also brings me to the app. While there are some bugs here and there, as I mentioned earlier with the initial map creation, I actually am pretty impressed with the app. You can edit the map in a few different ways, labeling rooms, adding furniture, etc. Once everything is labeled, you can use the app or voice assitant to clean specific areas. I especially like to tell mine to clean just the kitchen. Since I have a very open floor plan, it's nice to be able to just clean one room without it trying to clean the whole house. Overall, the app can still use a little work, but it is still very useful, and I am very satisfied with it. In conclusion, the Ecovacs Deebot T20 omni is a feature packed robot vac and mop combo unit. It performs really well whether vacuuming, mopping, or both at the same time. It has some trouble with area rugs, but I have yet to find a robot vac that doesn't. Overall, I am very happy with the T20, and would easily recommend to anyone interested in a robot vac/mop combo. It is everything I would expect a robot vac/mop combo unit to be.

Worked great at 1st, however once it got clogged the 1st time it constantly gets clogged, the mop sink lines are completely clear yet won't get the mop pads wet any longer. Got about 15 good uses out of it not not worth trying any longer

Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni Review We’ve had a number of robot vacuums over the years, and it’s clear that this Deebot T20 Omni is not only far and away the best unit we’ve ever had; it’s clearly part of a generational leap in performance and usability. Robot vacuums have been limited historically by a range of issues including limited battery life, poor navigation (the unit gets lost or stuck), lack of obstacle avoidance (the unit attempts to eat socks and cables left lying around on the floor), limited software, and lack of actual cleaning performance. I’ve been using this T20 for over a week now and it’s safe to say that it addresses every single one of these issues and many more. It cleans well and has never once gotten lost or stuck despite the effects of two teens and their miscellaneous items spread around our home. Check out the included video for a real world demonstration of all of the above. Pros: - Vacuums and mops in one pass, intelligently lifting the mops when needed. - Actually gets floors clean - Outstanding navigation and obstacle avoidance – has never gotten lost in our home - Works in all lighting conditions - Base station handles the mop washing and dust emptying for you - Long run times - Excellent, flexible software for mapping and custom cleaning schedules - Great looking design and build quality - Relatively quiet Cons: - Sometimes struggles to get all dirt in tight corners - Voice assistant activation phrase also triggers our Google Home devices The base station automatically empties the dustbin, charges the bot, and wets and washes the mops with hot water. No user intervention is required other than periodically emptying the dirty water tank, topping up the clean water, and emptying the dust bag. The bag should last many weeks for the typical home. I’ve never yet managed to deplete the battery, even with 1 hour plus vacuuming and mopping sessions, but if you do, the bot will return to top up and then resume where it left off. This is the first vacuum I’ve tried with combined mopping and vacuuming, and it handles this brilliantly with powerful rotating mops that automatically lift off the floor any time the machine crosses on to carpet or rungs. This allows you to clean the entire floor while intelligently switching between mopping and vacuuming. Furthermore, the mopping actually works really well for regular cleaning and the unit returns to its base every so often to washing the mops automatically in hot water. When you first set up the T20, there’s a “quick mapping” option which builds a map of your home without actually needing to clean the entire floor. The process is fast, and sufficiently accurate to build a map with individual rooms laid out. If you don’t like the default setup of rooms, it’s easy to divide, join, and rename areas to get it just the way you need it. Virtual boundaries and no-go rectangular zones can be easily added to the map. One the map is set up, navigation is outstanding. The unit will occasionally appear a little confused, rotating a few times in a single area, but it has never once gotten lost or stuck and the overall cleaning pattern is both thorough and efficient. Obstacle avoidance, while not perfect, is also excellent. The unit does a great job detecting and avoiding socks, shoes, and even cables. Also, it’s not camera based and works just fine in low light. The software takes a little getting used to, but the functionality is outstanding. You can create incredibly flexible cleaning schedules that perform mopping, vacuuming, or both, selectively to different areas with different suction strength and with a determined cleaning order. The schedules have been reliable and I’ve never lost connection to the bot or the app. It’s also easy to do ad hoc cleaning from within the app or using the built-in Google Home or Alexa integration. Natural language is supported, so you can easily ask the unit to vacuum and mop the kitchen, for example. The T20 also has a built-in voice assistant Yiko and you can issue voice commands directly to the device by saying “OK Yiko”. The same natural language capabilities apply. The only issue here is that for some reason the “OK Yiko” activation phrase also triggers my Google Home units, which is not ideal. Conclusion To say that we love this little guy is a gross understatement. The generational improvements in the T20 mean that we can actually rely on this unit to keep our floors clean each day without worrying about it getting stuck and without needing to pick up everything and rearrange furniture first. It truly accomplishes its aim of being a housekeeping assistant that gives you back hours of your life without taking them back again in micromanagement and frustration. Highly recommended!

It is a good item, but the mop could not get high enough so it wets the carpet, the avoidance needs to be improve as well.

Didn't work on my new rug. robot snagged the rug. I returned the item. Also to confusing to operate.

I bought this 2 months ago and I’ve had nothing but problems. After mapping the house, the robot still got lost and continuously couldn’t find its way back to the base. The dirty water tank stopped emptying and would puddle water at the base.

It worked great for first 3 months. Then drain pan would not drain all the way. Now 7 months in the hot water is not dispensing.

It pick up a lot but wouldn’t pick everything up. I would have to tell it to do the area twice. The sensors or cámara did not detect the toys or cables and it would get tangle.
