Just wow….the Deebot X1 is a close to perfect for me as we are going to get I think given technology currently. It is a mop, and vacuum all in one which is exactly what I have been looking for. The X1 system includes the vacuuming and mopping robot itself as well as the All in One Omni Station. The Omni Station will charge your X1 and houses both clean and dirty water as well as a large dust bag that has up to 60 days of dirt capacity but your mileage may vary depending upon how much the X1 picks up. Once initial install is done your X1 will do a quick mapping of the area and then you are ready to go. The companion App is versatile and will help you further and easily customize things such as vacuum power, water flow etc. You have options to make different zones and virtual boundaries etc, the customizability is impressive. All this would be for naught if the Deebot X1 didn’t perform its cleaning duties well. Im here to tell you there is no need to worry about that. The Deebot is the future of robotic cleaning, today. The vacuum feature performs flawlessly and to have a mop also included that does a pretty good job on my tile and hardwood floors (with the high flow water setting), I couldn’t ask for anything more in this state of the art piece of technology.

Save your money so many issues now doing research the company has a lawsuit for using cheap products for the cleaner and not working

Get stuck and lost more than I would like, the mapping is an excellent Feature but if you move the base the map is lost which is weird

Absolutely not worth the $1100. I’ve had 3 replacements in less than a year because something keeps “breaking”/stops working unexpectedly.

I’ve owned it for 2 months and have had nothing but trouble out of it.

I'm returning the unit. After a couple of days it started giving an error that it can't move forward. Checked drive wheel resistance and verified nothing was stuck in them. It would then vacuum for another 5-20 minutes before giving the error again. ECOVACS support wants me to send the unit in for repair or replacement. I'll be going to a different brand.

Overall, the ECOVACS Robotics - DEEBOT X1 OMNI is a solidly-constructed robotic vacuum. I was able to test it in terms of mopping floors (which it did quite thoroughly) and am still looking at how it vacuums carpeting. The base unit is about 40 or more pounds, even without water being inside one of the two liquid containers housed in the unit--so be prepared when you either pick up this unit from the store or have it delivered. If you follow the directions in order, you'll have no problems in getting the unit set up. I didn't exactly do that, as I tend to be one to try to intuitively set something up (thinking if it's engineered right, certain things should be obvious). Follow the directions with this unit! The vacuum unit itself comes about seventy-or-so-percent charged, so you can begin a vacuum sequence straight out of the box. You will need to download the ECOVACS app (in my case, via the App Store) in order to interface with the device. What's interesting is that the firmware required two separate updates to become fully updated, reminiscent of going from Windows 9 to Windows 10 to Windows 11! I've not had a device before that required stepped updates. However, once the updates were done, everything was set. It was too bad that there was at least one grammatical error within the app--one would think that in spending more than four figures on a vacuum system, folks would be more detail-oriented, but this didn't effect functionality. When I set up the vacuum to mop, I added Pine-Sol to the clean water container with no issues. As mentioned, the vacuum properly mapped the area to be mopped. The DEEBOT has a camera that allows you--via four-digit password protection--to literally see what it sees as it's cleaning the area. There's apparently the ability to have phone calls and other interaction via the robot, which I think is a bit overboard, but I didn't design it. Overall, this is a solid device that seems to work at least as good as the competition. Is it worth the hefty price tag? I think that depends on what your needs are.

I've had several robot vacuums and mops over the past few years with varying levels of disappointment. This is the first unit that, so far, is actually backing up these claims. Of course, with a few caveats. I've only been running this unit for a week or so, and these are my initial thoughts. Firstly, this is a monster in terms of size. I expected it to be big, but getting it out of the box is a sight to behold. Although it is large, and heavy, the space is used very efficiently considering all that is included. You have a dust bin, two water tanks, cleaning brushes, a self cleansing sink, a charging station and all the innards that keep this working. It's a given, just want to point that out for the space conscious. Initial set-up went fairly smoothly and the directions, while plentiful, were easy to follow and I was running without a hitch. I expected a hang-up or two, but was pleasantly surprised. On the first mapping, I removed all extra furniture/hinderances and let it run. Within 15 minutes, I had a shaded map of the kitchen. Then came the first run. The first run was good, but disappointing as there was a small pile of debris that I swept to the center from a small crevice that had been untouched. On the app, you can see the trail the vac took, and I could pinpoint what the issue was. I have a moveable island in the center of the kitchen and when the initial mapping took place, it mapped it as a uncleanable zone. Ultimately, my fix was to create a custom map over the initial map and ran the sequence again. Much better result. It is not a huge setback, but I hope the mapping will improve from room to room with the ai "learning" the terrain. After creating the map, the overall clean was great, and the mopping actually works. Floor, for the most part, was spotless. The self dumping and pad cleaning are legit, complete with "grey" water to dump. And watching it maneuver around obstacles was pretty impressive. The app itself is quite robust. And although there are lots of customizable options and functions, the app still needs updating for a few hiccups I noticed here and there. For one, when you create the custom map, it doesn't save right away. So, if you create your map, go into the details and change vacuum power, come back to the main screen, the map is gone. You have to make all your adjustments beforehand, then extend your map before hitting go. This is a minor flaw that can easily be rectified in an update, I just think it may take time. But watching the live video, making a "call," useful alerts, the cleaning log, and the customization of the cleaning cycle outweigh the shortfalls thus far. The negatives. To be fair, I wouldn't dock an entire star, but the system doesn't do halves. So, more of a 4.5. I touched in the app above, so I won't go further there. The first is the design. While on par with other models, I would have preferred a shorter design, or at least larger brushes. One of the commands you can say is, "clean under the couch." Relating to my initial kitchen cycle, my cabinets and island having a normal clearance, so does my couch. These areas are primarily missed due to the height of the unit and the mapping module in the center of the robot. So, I will have to occasionally go behind the unit and touch on these areas to get a complete clean. If the spinning brushes were longer, I believe it could grab more debris, but as it stands, the effect on standard clearances is minimal. Not terrible, but would have loved a unit that could actually get under these spaces. Next, the voice commands. They chose to use there own proprietary voice system. It is hit or miss. Sometimes it answers, sometimes it doesn't. I usually just end up running everything through the app. Lastly, the levels can be inconsistent. In my kitchen, I have a chef mat that has a slight ramp to it. Sometimes it climbs right on up and hits all the spaces, and others it treats it as an obstacle and avoids the area entirely. Not sure what the fix is for that, but I hope it's through further updating. \Those minors aside, this is the best I have used and it does seem to be improving on every run. I would absolutely recommend.

This is a top notch robotic vacuum. It offers features that even some of the bigger brands either do not deliver well or do not deliver at all. First thing to note, this is a BIG unit. That is because it accommodates a clean water bin, a dirty water bin, and a dirt collection system as well. That's right, this thing vacuums AND mops! It couldnt be more easy. Simply fill the clean water tank up and place the mop pads on the robot. It automatically goes into vacuum/mop mode. The robotic vacuum fills itself with water! When it is finished mooping, it cleans AND dries the mop pads on its own! It is completely effortless! The vacuum portion also cleans the dirt bin out on its own! The robot has some great automatic mapping features! It is precisely accurate when creating a map of your home. It also leaves amazing carpet lines! It literally doesnt miss a single spot. Using the phone app, the user can see exactly where the robotic vacuum is inside their home in real time. Ecovacs even took it not one, but two steps further! You can view a real time camera on the front of the vacuum AND you can talk through the vacuum. It also has a built in voice assistant to allow you to tell it to vacuum. The only issue I had with it is at one point I told it, via the smartphone app, to go vacuum one specific room. It avoided that room entirely, even though I had the appropriate portion if the map selected. I'm not exactly sure why it did that. One last thing that would've been nice was for ECOVACS to include a sample of floor cleaner. The booklet that comes with the robotic vacuum states to only use ECOVACS cleaner and not anything else. When you receive the vacuum the only option you have to use is water. Apparently you can order their floor cleaner directly from ECOVACS but I havent tried that yet. All in all, this is an impressive robotic vacuum that doesnt disappoint!

The EcoVacs Deebot X1 Onmi has to be the absolute best robot vacuum that I have used to date...and that's saying a lot when I thought my previous robot vacuum which also has a mop feature was hard to beat. Setup is ridiculously simple. Unlike my previous vacuum this one does the mapping process on the first go and is pretty accurate. I think it took less than 20 minutes for the mapping to complete and be reflected in the app. The mop feature is far more outstanding than my previous unit. Visually my hardwood and tile floors looked outstanding...when I thought they looked great after my previous unit cleaned. Taking a look at the dirty water tank was another indicator of how thoroughly this things cleans. Speaking of which...the water base for the X1 Onmi is more than I expected. I suspect that it will get about 3-4 full cleaning cycles from each fill...maybe close to 5 but that's pushing it. The voice assistant feature works great although in todays terms we expect nothing less than that. The camera feature is interesting but I don't think it's something I would use often. It's a great touch though. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone searching for a great robot vacuum. If this is any indicator of how the EcoVacs brand is I will be checking out other products from them!
