I have an 1,800 ft split level, and 1 probably would have been fine, 2 ample, and the 3rd, well I figured might as well use it. My home is pretty wired up so I used wired backhaul on the satellites. The downside of these to me is that the app is really limited and frustrating. If you have setup networking of old, I really prefer a web based interface and more configuration options. I mean it works, and if we really bad at tech, I guess they are good. On the good side, notebale speed increase from my previous google mesh. I was debating the "pro" models. Unless you have a REALLY large house I don't thing you need them, and the multi-gig in is amusing because there is no multi-gig out, so you can't get it to your LAN.

I'm pulling 500mbps at the end. But this my 2nd Eero purchase. I'm happy with the performance. I am wireless between units as well. So easy to install. Support is easy to get if needed.

This says it is for 600 sq ft but I am not sure go well it works on a home that size. Our home is 3k sq ft and the cameras outside seem to have some trouble at times. That could be ADT issue. Overall I am very satisfied with them. Easy to use and if out wifi goes out there is a red light on our Eros so I know it is an issue with the wifi.

Ease of setup and use was way better than my Orbi system. I haven’t had any issues since I purchased the item. Set it and forget it. Only issue I had was deciding which version I needed and what version was best for my money.

Let me say 1st, I love how user friendly the Google Nest is and how compatible it is with other devices in my home (same platform, etc.). I think that is what I miss the most. Eero does seem to work faster, but I think I need 4 pods in addition to the 3 that are included. With 2600 sq. ft., Google covered by home, but was not as fast. Eero is fast, but doesn't completely cover my home. Now I am forced to spend more money on another eero to gain coverage.

However, I understand your frustration with the coverage gaps in your 2,600 sq. ft. home and the additional investment required to achieve complete coverage.The eero 6+ system is designed to cover up to 4500 sq. ft. with a three-pack, though actual coverage varies based on home construction, wall materials, and layout. Homes with multiple floors, thick walls, or complex layouts may require additional units for complete coverage. Before purchasing additional units, here are several strategies to maximize coverage with your existing three-unit system: 1. Strategic Placement Optimization: Position your gateway eero centrally where your modem is located, then place the additional units in areas that create overlapping coverage zones. eeros work best when placed in open spaces, elevated positions (like on shelves), and away from thick walls, metal objects, large appliances, and electronics that can cause interference. 2. Update and Optimize: Verify your eero app is current and that your system has the latest firmware. Check your network topology in the app to ensure each eero is connecting optimally—sometimes repositioning units by just a few feet can dramatically improve coverage.
If after optimizing placement you still experience coverage gaps and decide an additional unit is necessary, a fourth eero 6+ would indeed provide the comprehensive coverage you need for your home size. Could not have been much easier. The network is everything I hoped it would be. The Eero app is great too. Highly recommend.

Posted .Hi Burner. Thank you for reaching out about your experience with the eero 6+ system. Each eero 6+ router provides coverage up to 1,500 sq. ft. Depending on the layout of your home and the materials used in its construction, more eeros could be needed. If you'd like to add additional Ethernet ports, you will need an Ethernet switch. Most unmanaged Ethernet switches work with eero, so feel free to use any to your liking. With that said, ensure you select a switch that fits the requirements of your internet service speeds.
