Placed Eeros where I needed cabled connections instead of running cable. Hooked up devices to the Eeros. Works great!

It has worked perfectly since the Geek Squad installation. We needed to access our new GENERAC generator via Wi-Fi and this was the perfect fix / upgrade.

Did need to call my internet carrier as my router and modem are a combo. In that case they needed to put it in bridge mode. Until I read up on that I had no idea what that was. I did reach out to the eero support and they helped me too.

Eero 5 Pro vs eero 6+

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before purchasing the Eero 6+ I used the Eero 5 (eero Pro).I hoped to have an increase in speed throughout my home using the newer model (also upgraded from 100 mbps to Gigabite ISP). It did not increase the speed through my home. I still call eero help line in the hope speed fix will enhance. Nonetheless, I like my eero 6+, only wish I had better uniformity in speed throughout home.

Let me say 1st, I love how user friendly the Google Nest is and how compatible it is with other devices in my home (same platform, etc.). I think that is what I miss the most. Eero does seem to work faster, but I think I need 4 pods in addition to the 3 that are included. With 2600 sq. ft., Google covered by home, but was not as fast. Eero is fast, but doesn't completely cover my home. Now I am forced to spend more money on another eero to gain coverage.

However, I understand your frustration with the coverage gaps in your 2,600 sq. ft. home and the additional investment required to achieve complete coverage.The eero 6+ system is designed to cover up to 4500 sq. ft. with a three-pack, though actual coverage varies based on home construction, wall materials, and layout. Homes with multiple floors, thick walls, or complex layouts may require additional units for complete coverage. Before purchasing additional units, here are several strategies to maximize coverage with your existing three-unit system: 1. Strategic Placement Optimization: Position your gateway eero centrally where your modem is located, then place the additional units in areas that create overlapping coverage zones. eeros work best when placed in open spaces, elevated positions (like on shelves), and away from thick walls, metal objects, large appliances, and electronics that can cause interference. 2. Update and Optimize: Verify your eero app is current and that your system has the latest firmware. Check your network topology in the app to ensure each eero is connecting optimally—sometimes repositioning units by just a few feet can dramatically improve coverage.
If after optimizing placement you still experience coverage gaps and decide an additional unit is necessary, a fourth eero 6+ would indeed provide the comprehensive coverage you need for your home size. Better Than Asus, Great Bandwidth

I enjoyed the Asus parental software, but Eero is an equivalent. In summary, great product and give my whole house full coverage. It solved all of my connection problems.

Help for weak wifi

With our router being in the basement, wifi in the rest of the house was a bit spotty. This has definitely helped.

I have 1600 sq ft home with add on to the back that never had good signal strenth. Now i have no problems throughout my whole home. Set up was easy i called customer service with a qustion they were very nice and helpful.

At first I wasn't sure, but it was able to connect to my garage where I have a Echo Dot. The Dot is able to perform as an extender, so now my house is covered with no dead spots.
